I can't think of a concise title for this post but here's the gist: Zumba is going really well these days.
I'm getting great feedback and nice comments from students. It makes me all warm and fuzzy when someone tells me they like my class! It is incredibly fulfilling to work hard at something you actually love and then see that people genuinely enjoy it. I mean, is that the perfect scenario or what? ;)
This afternoon I am meeting with a woman named Jeri who is opening her own Zumba studio in Goddard (a small town just West of Wichita). We're going to talk about the possibility of me teaching Zumba Step there! My Step license is just wasting away at the moment since the Y doesn't offer it. I decided to update my resume into a "Hey hire me to teach Zumba!" resume and that was more difficult than I expected. But I have something resembling a resume that has my Zumba & fitness credentials on it, so I'm going to give that to her.
So wish me luck. I know Jeri a little and she's very nice so I'm not really nervous, I just don't know what to expect. I don't have a ton of availability but if our schedules line up, I think I could do 1-2 Zumba Step classes a week, in addition to my classes at the Y. :)
