Hi guys!! long time no post DX sorry!! i'm in my last semesters of college maintaining my first ever apartment so things got really crazy for a sec and i fear they will get crazy again but i have some good news :3 ycosmas is officially going public!! i have server hosting (almost..knock on wood) all the way figured out and i've added a few final touches to the game to get it all the way ready for you guys. i don't have a hard date just yet but i'm shooting for new years day? :P

i've taken a temporary step away from impressive title due to a combination of factors but i do still plan on releasing ycosmas this year :) my last step is honestly just finding server hosting

just a quick update to let you guys know progress is resuming! the player model parts i need for release are being rigged now by a friend, my girlfriend is helping out with the new loading screen art, and i'm going to finish up the last few maps i need + add a couple more items i want in the game before release.

finally got outline presets working:3 idk why that took me as long as it did
currently waiting until my finances stable a bit by the end of this month ish hopefully before i start looking for someone to rig the player model heads i want in the game before release. hang in there folks!
Hi guys! Wanted to make a quick post to talk about the release date, for transparency's sake. I had some commissioned work I wanted to be in the game for public release that has since fallen through (absolutely no ill will to anyone involved! shit happens) and frankly there just aren't very many people who still know how to rig&animate for impressive title; so i haven't found someone else to complete what i needed for release yet. I've always hated when other IT servers aren't open about whats happening behind the scenes to i wanted to make sure you guys knew exactly why the game hasn't released when i said it would and you knew i was still dedicated to the project. thank you guys for being patient and i promise the game WILL see the light of day sometime this year. i cant wait to share my little server with everyone, thank you :)
Will Ycosmas ever be hosted on itch.io or something similar? :o SUPER hyped for release either way, everything you've shown makes me wanna play so bad!! ;w; Mostly just curious if it'll be a download-only sitch since Itch.io makes updating/patching these games a lot more streamlined
I hadn't considered itch yet actually but that's a really good idea and I'll definitely look into it!! I was initially thinking about using the old IT updater but it is a little annoying having to navigate to a different .exe to update the game and all so ty for this :3
I'm so glad you're looking forward to it by the way!! I've had a few complications with content I commissioned for the server so I'm not 100% sure when it'll go public but I do intend for it to happen this year at least🙏
