she believes him when he says it - she’d believe anything in the world just as long as it was spilling from his impossibly pretty lips - and she’s not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. he has such a heavy hold on her by now that she doesn’t think it’ll ever relent, and it’s nothing short of terrifying. and so she’ll choose to ignore it, choose to lose herself in him the same way she always has if only for tonight. she doesn’t know where they’ll end up in the morning, if this will be enough to mend what they’d both been working to break, but she’ll keep her fingers crossed that she’ll be able to wake up beside him with a smile. and then he’s kissing her and every spare breath is ripped straight from her lungs. the press of his lips to her own is something like the first gasp of air after drowning, like coming home after being gone for months on end. it’s the first time he’s kissed her since he told her he loves her, and she thinks that means EVERYTHING now. her fingers remain tangled in his hair, just barely sucking at his lesser brim while she presses her tiny frame as close to him as she can possibly manage. her entire body feels hot, flames ripping through her veins like clockwork while her nails rake over the skin at the nape of his neck. a quiet sigh of content falls from her throat & she’s dizzy with how badly she needs to breathe, but she can’t bear the thought of pulling away.

his whole world seemed to be a roller coaster of emotions, one moment he was beyond happy & then he felt miserable, now he was at ease with the world for right now. in this moment, things felt a bit more stable, because she was here again & he was touching her, his hands were able to run along the apples of her cheeks in the way that he knew all too well. all he wants is to live here in this moment forever, no matter HOW scared he was of all of this, he felt at ease. as soon as his lips crashed into hers, it was all over for him, all the walls he’d built up had come crumbling down as his hands traveled along the curve of her hips to pull her closer. his chest felt tight as he squeezed his eyes shut tight, a small grunt of approval leaving him when she tangled her digits into his hair. leaning back slowly, he made her follow his motion as he leaned against his head board, fingers ghosting along her lower back as he kept her close. “ i love you.” he whispered hotly into her mouth, trying to catch his breath before crashing his lips back into hers, hand coming up to tangle into her hair to continue on with his actions. calum was hopelessly in love with this girl, the world didn’t know, but they DIDN’T need to because he knew deep inside & that was all that really mattered to him.
