I’ve never put much thought into it. The bed head look seems natural on me and at the daycare center I wear the usual uniforms. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to relax in a loose tank and shorts whenever I’m off the clock.
My mom always told me my eyes reminded her of the sea back home, so in that case I’d say they’re my favorite feature.
“Tasty, hm?” Yasuo teased after handing the ripe Payapa berry to Beatrice. The domesticated Nekkoara sat inside the breeders traveling pack but remained near his right shoulder while she ate.
“Koa~” Bee agreed, mouth full and tiny claws clinging the fruit possessively while her eyes remained shut in satisfaction.
“The Berry Master always hooks us up. ‘wish our garden grew nearly as well back home.” He gathered the last of the Payapa and dropped them into a secure case with a great variety of other berries he’d plucked from the property and the Master himself. Trips to route 123 were routine for Yasuo Maruyama, the most affordable and dependable method of collecting berry’s for homemade poffins, but today he planned to venture a little further to Maulville City.
A sharp cry came from Bee the moment Yasuo returned to his bicycle. Wincing, he ducked to the side, “No, no, just one berry. We have to take the rest home or what will you and the others have to eat for the next two weeks?”
Bee simmered down with a gulp and sniff before curling her fluffy arms around the tall humans collar once again. Wearing a content grin, Yasuo pulled along his bike and ventured away from the property. The tires had become worn and tired. He planned on replacing them once they made it to Maulville. Till then, he’d have to go by foot, but at least the route was beautiful and lively today. A bit too lively, Yasuo thought, as he heard a much too active rustle from afar. Beyond the grass.
Yasuo wasn’t keen to run into another trainer today. It was simple to shake them off with his pitiful ‘Hi there, I am broke, but thanks for the flattering offer’ line, but pitiful and exhausting all the same. This movement was so foreign that Yasuo worried it might be a wild bird Pokemon caught in a cluster of twigs. Concern caused him to stray from the paved road and he carefully tread through the grass till he came to a stiff stance near the rustling foliage. Between the thick greenery he easily caught a bright contrast of red. It must be a Swellow!
The breeder was caught off guard once he’d reached forward to push the brush aside and found a human instead of a bird. He took a full step back and froze up again, sweating from embarrassment, “Oh, ah, I um... s-sorry to disturb you..!” Why was he apologizing? Clearly he was the one disturbed in this situation! What was this stranger doing anyway? It didn’t matter. He should go, quickly, this was so awkward.
I’m Kasberg and I am so pleased to be sharing Yasuo with you all. He works at his aunts Pokemon Daycare center called Sunny Side and though he has weak motivations he’s ever eager to be friendly and meet people. You can trust that Beatrice the Nekkoara will be hanging off his shoulders through most interactions.
If you’re curious about anything else, I think I’ve got everything on his ‘about’ and ‘helper’ pages, but feel free to ask.
As for myself, I am a huge nerd (watching Silent Hill playthroughs atm, someone hold me!) and outside of my 8-5 m-f job I love to escape with writing. I would be overjoyed to build connections with any of you, even if Yasuo is a simple acquaintance, but most of all we’re just excited to play!
If you would like my skype or whatsapp info I’ll be happy to share via pm
