Being sexually attractive to your significant other is a pretty big reason.

? My partner is more attracted to me when I’m comfortable. BECAUSE I’m comfortable. He likes when I dress up but if you have a SO who doesn’t want to see you in PJs you gotta move along. There is no way you are going to make it long term

How one day someone can look so ordinary

Can become so beautiful

To I need you around to make the days easier

Laying on my chest that night

My name sounds like grace on your lips

I know a boy that is suffocating He is suffocating in life In routine he is dying Monotony stealing away all of his air But he is the most exciting thing about me I never know what he is going to say I can never tell what he will think of something It’s all spontaneity That dying boy does not know That he is the air in my lungs

I live with two kids My nephew is an infant. He suspects nothing My Niece is seven She noticed I’m not normal How do you explain to a child that you’re sick? How do you explain that you sleep late because you can’t fathom getting up? Or fathom living at all? How do you tell them that there were days you wanted to die And the tattoo on your wrist is the only think that kept you alive How do you explain that their mother is sick too? Their grandma and great grandma And one day probably them too? What do you say When they ask why you’re crying?

I used to think That we were magnets Identical polarities. So no matter how hard we tries We would never touch. Well, dear magnet. I was wrong. I thought that tug The one deep in my chest I thought that was me missing you. It is. But some of it is the pull Some of it is the laws of physics. The universe taking us into her hands Gathering us in her palms And letting the pulling polarities do the rest.

I make friends with the dysfunctional people Dysfunctional brains, Dysfunctional hearts, And dysfunctional minds. I make friends with the broken With patchwork people Covering the broken parts of themselves with cloth Hoping to fix themselves Trying to stop the sand in their hour glasses, Some people got their glasses flipped over, And some have less sand and bigger spouts I make friends with hourglasses ad ticking clocks With not enough time.

I read a poem today 
It said my arms hurt 
From outstretched arms around someone who isn’t there 
But my arms hurt 
 because I will be damned it i let you go
 i will stretch my arms to China. 
 I will wrap my arms around Jupiter if I can hold your hand 
I will stretch my finger to the Milky Way
 But only I you’re there
 My arms don’t hurt 
 From making a useless hoop
 My arms hurt from holding you
 But it’s a good ache 
It’s only making me stronger. I want to be strong enough to hold myself together I want to be strong enough so they don’t break me I want to come to you while and new I want to be something beautiful So I’m reaching

I am bad at writing good poetry And good at writing bad poetry But you don’t seem to mind That’s the thing about minds You send mine racing As well as my heart What a crazy thing, the heart We convince ourselves that’s how we love We are in love with chemicals That tell us we love others We confuse emotions with chemicals in our brains But I trust my brain I hear she is pretty smart I can’t say the same for my heart But they both seem to like you Who am I to disagree They are the things that control my body Keep my going and well If “well” means occasionally going through hell But at least I am going Going, going, gone I am gone So long I will come back I will see you soon Because I think our atoms were close When the Big Bang banged I think they want to be close again And darling, who am I to say no?

I was born from a promise To my mother from my father and back “I love you” “I love you, too” A year after they got married. “I love you.” “I love you,too” Two years later they signed the papers. No longer “I love you” Thats how I grew up I didnt grow up to “I love you” I didnt grow through hugs and kisses I learned about computers at seven I didnt freak out when I got my period at thirteen When at fourteen I fell in love I didnt know how to handle “I love you” So I believed it I fell into it I dived and swam I drowned That is how I learned about “I love you.” Thats how I came to know the words “You are beautiful” Like a mouse trying to get the cheese I got electrocuted And I learned how hard it is to trust When you got broken So love, I am sorry. So sorry I cannot believe those words Love, I wish I could. I wish we could forget our pasts. I wish I didnt hurt. But “I love you” is always a broken promise And promises are something I dont breake Love, tell me you love me. Maybe I will learn to trust again Maybe “I love you” will save me Love, tell me you love me
