That was Awkward….😲😂…
And to think I used to consider this episode boring... What little I knew about everything! And I say it because so many things happened in less than 30 minutes:
Elisa trying to listen to the attraction she clearly feels for Jason, and no one can blame her, she is not in a relationship with Goliath, and she is not willing to acknowledge it either and that is stated at the moment because let's remember that they practically just came back from Avalon's Journey (when Goliath tried to face it and she decided to turned the blind eye on the whole issue). She even let herself go in the kiss, only to come back to her senses seconds later... But the damage is done, Goliath witnessed almost everything, he listened to her explanation and it seems that he is deflected, he quietly leaves, and misses the part in which Jason leaves the apartment too...
Later we see that Goliath is not deflected but incredibly upset, and that mixed with his desires of revenge due to Angela almost being killed, can only lead to disaster, and what I think is interesting here is that in the meantime between leaving Elisa's apartment and finding the Hunters aircraft, he had time to think and let's look to the evidence here:
-They were kissing.
-Elisa said that their relationship would be impossible.
-Elisa spoke to someone else about a situation that ONLY was his and her business, so this had to be the first time he listened to what she really felt about them together and he wasn't even in the conversation, that had to 🤕 hurt like fucking hell.
-And worst, he left the two alone in her apartment in which she lives alone and she is an adult, she has desires and needs obviously, nothing would prevent for them to sleep together, I think that is why he is enraged later! in his mind Elisa was in Jason's arms in a way that she would never be with him...He would never be able to touch her like he was doing in that moment, in Goliath's mind (Because Jason left, and we know it, he didn't).
The fact that Brooklyn points out that his plan is reckless, only confirms that they wanted for us to clearly understand that his actions were affected by the thought of Elisa with someone else.
And again, all in less than 30 minutes...
Now, how horrible must it have been to have to seek shelter with Elisa of all people after the Clock tower explode? If it all happened on the same night... how long must it have taken Goliath to decide to go with her, knowing he was definitely going to run into Jason right there in her apartment?
What an unfortunate day for our líder, right?
Listening to the new episode of @gargoylespodcast I discovered that I was in part right about my new impression from this episode, because I've been a fan since the 90's and a lot of the meanings, plots and dramas were invisible to me because I was a child.
I was correct about Goliat, Elisa and Jason's drama, so if you are a Golisa fan, you'll love this episode, and if you are a fan from the series, Demona, Brooklyn, voice acting, definitely you won't be disappointed, but I warned you, this show is addictive! Even if English is your second or third language like it is for me, you'll find this is a super helpful practice.

Self-tanned fish leather (eel, 70 cm originally)
I have so many thoughts about gargoyle biology as a nocturnal pack species.
- they don't see colour, only shades of dark/light grey and maybe a bit of blue. It's impossible for them to read black letters on a red shirt but they totally see the boulder in the dark before stubbing their toes
- they can see infrared
- their primary senses are smell, touch and hearing. Fits with being blind while being in rage. Eyes are nice to have but they can fully live their life without
- they have a special sense for sensing air movement (similar to the sidelines of fishes). That's one reason why they only wear as much clothes as necessary to fulfill the human wishes for modesty. A fully clothed gargoyle is nearly blind by gargoyle standards. They know exactly how high they are while flying with the exact direction and flow of wind and air movement
- it's a sign of great trust to let another being near enough to touch their sides - like a human allowing someone to close their hands over their eyes. (So really Goliath what where you doing with all the touching with Elisa?)
- their hair is not hair by human standards but more like whiskers by cats. Their primary purpose is sensing speed and direction. That's the reason why hair is rather found in fast, big gargoyles... And why touch is so intimate. Gargoyles like Lexington and Broadway have those sensors in their skin, usually they are better at long distance slow gliding.
- flying too close to each other disturbs the air flow and is rather uncomfortable
- gargoyle only thrive as a clan. They can survive on their own but their nervous system will be in permanent stress. Humans are like sedatives, so a gargoyle who lost his clan will always search out humans when no gargoyles are available (demona hates humans but can't live without them because no clan would accept her. She hates them even more for how humans make her feel strong and safe)
- gargoyles of a clan are constantly touching with their tails or wingtips or claws. It's a form of body language to strengthen their bonds.
There are even more and I won't fit all my thoughts into one story :D so thank you for listening to my rambling

Still trying to figure out how to get my hands on the new Gargoyles comics. I think I found a way, but does anyone know why they aren’t released outside the US and the UK? Is that a general comic thing? Or just my luck with the comic I want?
If you want the comics published by Dynamite Comics, the company only has distribution in US, UK and a couple of countries in Latinoamerica. I live in Mexico and I have been using eBay to get them all from US, ebay allows you to clearly see in your currency how much would you pay at the moment of placing the order, so no surprises afterwards, it is super easy but is expensive and a long wait (almost a month) but I haven't had a single issue with ebay that hasn't been solved quickly and smoothly.
Also for every single issue I end up paying it like 6 times it's price in order to import it to Mexico.
A tip I can give you is to revise which vendors have a program of saving in combined shipping, more comics you purchase, cheaper the shipping cost.
Also I tried to use Amazon, but I only manage to get issues 1 to 6 from "Here in Manhattan" from them, and I got from a web named "busca libre" the volume with all the comics from Marvel from the 90's, and currently I have seen the other new comics published there, available for pre order.
You can ask me whatever you want, I'll be happy to interact or help a rockery sister or brother, in the fandom.
Also as an example, this is what I paid for pre ordering issue 1 and 2 from the new ongoing series that will be published in August.
Okay, so it's with all the Dynamoite comics, not just the Gargoyles ones? That's good to know.
Luckily I found a comic store here in Germany that imports comics to Germany, and they aren't that expensive. I think $5.50 to $8.50 plus shipping. I ordered some of the Dark Ages comics from them so I hope that it will work with the new comics as well.
But it would be nice to just be able to go into a normal comic shop to buy them.
I tried Amazon for the Quest story, but the keep delaying shipment more and more (now it's like sometime in November), so I ordered it via that other store as well. Let's see when they will ship it. Probably would have been faster if I had ordered the single issues, but I really liked the idea of having everything in one.
But yeah, I got to preorder the first issue of the new comics. Right now I'm waiting for all the covers for the second issue to be released (I think there will be four and so far I only ever see three different ones and one that says "not announced yet" or something like that). And I hope not having read Quest before will not through me off the story too much. :P
But should I get lost I will probably get back to your offer of asking you. ^^
You have not read Quest? I'm sorry but you do need to read it in order to know was going on and the best part is that you won't have to wait that long to know what comes next, I read Quest last year and I got depressed 😔...
But great arc!
No, I haven't. I ordered the comic via Amazon in the beginning of 2026, they said it would be shipped at the end of June. Now it says November.
I already know the general story of that arc, and I hope that the store will ship the first issue of the on-going comics with my Quest comic. Right now all I can do is wait.
As I said, having the comics published in Europe (not just UK) would make things so much easier! I still hope that Dynamite will one day publish in more places! Please think of your international fans!!
Which store is it in Germany? :)
It called Black Dog comics. They seem to have an actual store in Berlin. here is the link: https://www.blackdog.de/
Thank you!
