Take time to de-stress and unwind while learning more about the TMH animal therapy program and painting with instruction from Sworlz Cupcake & Art studio. Thriving with #anxiety means a lot of work. It means constantly reminding mself that I am NOT my insecurities. It means constantly being in a state of exhaustion from over compensating and working ten times as hard to look, sound, and act twice as assured as I feel. It means living in constant fear that people will wake up one day and decide I’m no longer someone they want to have around… anxiety for me means walking a tightrope between catering to others and taking care of the responsibilities I have to myself.

Anxiety also means days of flying in the face of what others think. It has caused me to explore and grow my comfort zone. It has caused me to really hone the craft of needless defiance. Anxiety has given me the gift of knowing the value of silence. I now put my well being over toxic friendships and value my freedom and drive to succeed more than ever. My anxiety sometimes looks like a funky haircut to remind myself not to take the world so seriously.

Yeah, my anxiety sucks. But it’s also part of who I am- a part of me I’m getting used to, and growing around. It’s rarely easy, but it’s always worth it. #thisiswhoiam #stopthestigma #mentalhealthmatters #soblessed #andstressed #strongereveryday
