“I don’t remember… I was passed out. “ Lylah nodded, wrapping her arms around herself. “I should have been more careful.”
“No, no,” she said, shaking her head. “It’s not your fault. Nothing like that ever is.”

“I don’t remember… I was passed out. “ Lylah nodded, wrapping her arms around herself. “I should have been more careful.”
“No, no,” she said, shaking her head. “It’s not your fault. Nothing like that ever is.”
“I’m tired… But someone from tour was there, luckily, and got me out before anything happened. I’m pretty sure Pedro hit him? But besides that nothing…”
“I hope Pedro hit him more than once. I’m glad you’re okay though. I’m so sorry that happened to you.”
“A long night… Someone slipped me something and I had to be taken to the hospital.”
“What?” Her brows furrowed in concern. “Are you alright? I mean obviously... I mean. What happened to the person who did that?”
“…do I look as rough as I feel?”
“You don’t look exceptionally rough to me. Why do you feel so rough?”
“…you don’t like it?”
“I mean, it’s not that. I wrote it. I like it, but it’s not what I wanted to be doing at this point.”
“You don’t like it? I think it’s nice. Just more… pop-y?”
“Didn’t really set out to be doing music like this, but yeah. It’s more pop.”
“I would do a little rendition for you, but I’d rather not embarrass myself,” she said with a laugh. “I like your solo stuff too, of course. It’s different but it’s… I dunno. It’s great in it’s own way, you know? I mean, obviously you do. You’re the one who made the music.” She shook her head. “I’m sorry.”
Tahlia laughed softly and nodded. “No worries. Thanks. The new stuff is.... I mean it’s stuff I wouldn’t have ever done with the guys, but kinda don’t have any other choice now.”
“Yeah! Fences is my favorite.”
“Oh. Thanks.” Tahlia smiled genuinely. “Miss playing those songs.”
“I used to listen to you band! Well, I mean I still do but obviously… Yeah.”
“Really?”
“Thanks for reminding me.”
“Yikes. Sorry.”
“O-Oh,” Lylah stuttered, not sure if that was a good or bad thing. “Tahlia… You’re Tahlia Jacobs, aren’t you?”
“Uh.... ya.”
“Eh. Happens.”
“Seems to be a lot for you.”
“Yeah… Probably ruined my friendship with her, but whatever. You’ll have that,” he said with a laugh.
“Dang.” The awkward was sitting on Tahlia’s chest like a boulder. “Well... that sucks.”
“I’ve always kept handwritten notes. Helps me remember things… But I realize that’s a bit ironic considering I forgot where I put my notes,” she said, her cheeks slightly rosy. “I’m Lylah, by the way.”
“I know who you are,” Tahlia said shortly. “I’m Tahlia.”
“Well, fuck you then.”
“Did she really, though?”
‘ you really think so? i tried my best, but i think i still need more practice. ‘
“Practice make progress, blah blah blah. Just don’t ask me to sit for you anymore, okay?”
She nodded, following her along to the backstage area. She spotted a pile of papers, and rushed over to grab them. Checking to see that they were all there, she clutched them to her chest and let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you so much…”
Tals shrugged. “Uh, yeah. No problem. Think about going digital though, like I said.”
