It's them and you can't convince me otherwise.

The son and the daughter were always at odds with each other and they needed to be kept in check by the father. But once the balance was destroyed the force brought them together(maul and Ahsoka) to try and correct the issue before it was too late.

They were supposed to join forces to stop Anakin (the father) from abandoning his responsibility and becoming a massive prick. It didn't work out because the son and daughter by nature are at odds with each other, but the force really tried with that last ditch hail Mary.

Ahsoka of course is the daughter because she is one with her life force. I like to think the same thing happened to maul on lotho minor. The son fled somewhere after the mortis arc, I like to think he found refuge in Maul's pure misery. There are lots of fun little parallels like Him having the snake creature like Ahsoka has the bird(Morley and morei are also incredibly similar names). Sam witwer voices both the son and maul, And maul started literally speaking the same dialogue as the son when he was enveloped in pure darkness on lotho minor.

I’ve said once, and I’ll say it again. Rook Kast was Maul’s ride or die ever since Son of Dathomir. I know she was a supporting character and all, but killing her off in season 1 of Shadow Lord was honestly a mistake. Had she been around for one more season, maybe they could’ve explored a storyline of Rook trying to recruit more Mandalorians mainly from House Kast to Maul’s side. And had she been around another season, we could’ve gotten a proper reaction from Maul when she dies since she was his most loyal soldier.

Ugh! This just makes me want an animated adaptation of Son of Dathomir even more, so we can see the dynamic of this powerhouse duo!
