New Post, Waterloo Documents
I have just posted Chapter 5 of The Waterloo Documents on my Patreon page. I may post Chapter 6 later this month--I am a bit behind on my Waterloo postings.

Chapter 10 is up!
I have posted the 10th chapter of The Hornbeam Staff. One more and an interval, I think, and that's the end of "Act I." Meanwhile I have to get going on my other writing assignments, now that the chapter is out of the way. Look for the new chapter at my Patreon account.

Update on current works in progress.
Yay! Final PDFs of "my book" (a short non-fiction title on 3-D printing) is due literally anytime now. Final proofing and captioning and it's done and out for printing. I get paid my final small installment, and then my editor says we start working out the next round. Since I already have to small assignments from the company, and editor seems willing and able to assign me more, that should work out well financially.
Whew.
Meanwhile I'm working on both the tenth chapter of Hornbeam Staff, and another interlude segment for it, AND doing a breakdown of themes and patterns that are beginning to develop and come clear. Trying to work out enough to aim more accurately--also thinking I may be due to round off the first "act," and do a short but fierce revision to bring it all into line with my sense of where the book is going. Turn it into a better launch pad for the center act.
I am a bit behind working on the lace project. But I have not quit.
For the first time in a long, long time, I feel like I've got the basics in place and the foundation built securely, and I am functioning as a pro writer. Thank you ALL, friends, family, beta readers, patrons, and all. I love you.
New Chapter
I have just posted the 9th chapter of The Hornbeam Staff. I have two more chapters that insist they know how they are supposed to go. No idea how much I will get done on them today. Worked much of the night and do need to sleep sometimes.

New Free Essay, Dr. Who
I have just posted a new short essay on the state of Doctor Who in terms of who can be case for the new regeneration. This isn't speculation about who they've cast--I have no clue. It's about who they now have the option of casting. It's free to the public on my Patreon site. www.patreon.com/PegRobinson
The Hornbeam Staff
I have just posted Chapter 8 of The Hornbeam Staff over on my Patreon page. It's a turning point chapter--not quite as well supported as I would like in first draft, but the shift should be a bit more solid in final polish. And I love the chapter itself. Lots going on... www.patreon.com/PegRobinson
Chapter Seven, Ragtime at the Grand Pavilion
It is important to learn to write whether "in the mood" or not. But I gotta say, especially with a project that is "only" my own, with no client and no known buyer, it's always a big help when that inner knowledge of what comes next is flowing. So--after half a month and more working on Chapter 6 of The Hornbeam Staff, Chapter 7 came dancing along, filling up the word count for me.

New Essay on Doctor Who; Series 10
I have just posted an essay on how Steven Moffat has managed themes and tropes within Doctor who during his tenure, and in particular during this final season of Peter Capaldi's Doctor. You can find it on Patreon, as a freebie. Repeat, this is a freebie: those of you who like my essays on drama/pop culture may want to go over and enjoy the free material. www.patreon.com/PegRobinson
The Hornbeam Staff
I have just posted the sixth chapter of The Hornbeam Staff over on my Patreon page. I am hoping to get the seventh chapter done before the weekend is over.

New Free Post on Patreon
I have just posted a new essay on the most recent Doctor Who episode, "The Eaters of Light," on my Patreon channel. This one is a free "open to the public" post, so feel free to go over and read it and my other material, even if you are not a patron. Patrons, I do have a new chapter and some food writing coming in within the next week. You are not forgotten. Remember, my Patreon account is at patreon.com/PegRobinson
Waterloo Documents I have published the fourth chapter of The Waterloo Documents, my Regency-era mystery/romance. You can subscribe to read along at patreon.com/PegRobinson. I should have the sixth chapter of The Hornbeam Staff, my WWI era fantasy, up within a day or so. After that I need to do a few bonus essays, and some food writing. I promised a friend I would include an essay on frugality stews, which are a bit like stone soup: what you do to make what you've got into something hot and satisfying even if your options are limited.
New Chapter for Hornbeam Staff.
I have posted the fifth chapter of The Hornbeam Staff on Patreon, for patrons. If you want to go check out my free sample work, or sign up to see patrons-only material, check my site out at patreon.com/PegRobinson. Over the next week or so I will try to get in some of my Bonus work and food-related writing, too. I am not behind--but also do not want to end up behind.
Status update. New posting.
Writing is going well. Doing polish/finish work on contract now. Took time out to "cleanse my palate" by writing an interlude from my Patreon Novel in progress, "The Hornbeam Staff." I am hoping those who are reading the novel like the interlude. I'm--still thinking about it. This is when readers really get to see the process: the "I write this and I may change my mind about it" stuff. Most of what I write stays, or is only moderately changed with new drafts. Every so often I have a piece that may fit, but may not really, and all I can do is write it, then see if it works and keeps on working.
New Chapter up.
Finishing up a contract ebook, and have also just posted a new chapter of The Hornbeam Staff on Patreon. Remember, you can find free samples of my stuff as well as the patron's only work at www.patreon.com/PegRobinson
