i just finished watching “destroying a world that doesn’t exist” and i got an idea so LET ME COOK. (SPOILER WARNING FOR DAWTDE AND SEARCHING FOR A PLAYER THAT DOESN’T EXIST BELOW THE CUT)
what if the minecraft world that the king in yellow was trapped in was originally made as a containment unit by the DMS in order to be able to experiment on the king. they would send people from their previous experiment with alex (searching for a player that doesn’t exist) in order to gain in-depth knowledge of the universe with expendable subjects. it would make sense to trap the king in yellow in a video game like minecraft, sincei t’s a sandbox game and can be seen as an artform, and most depictions of the king in yellow are him influencing people through art forms.
HOWEVER! ever since wifies was able to crack the code of the DMS, more people have been able to gain access to these pieces of information, INCLUDING D3RLORD. knowing how smart he is, i can see him being able to gain access to the minecraft world that contains the king by cracking all the codes or whatever.
due to the DMS’s first leak from wifies’s detective skills, they put up multiple failsafes in the world itself to stop unwanted guests from ever coming across the king, from the disappearing mountains to the church with scriptures that could hypnotize you. THIS IS WHERE I GOT THE IDEA OF LINKING THE DMS TO THIS MC WORLD — when avery visited the church, he was put in a trance-like state for around 12 hours to forget his objective of finding d3rlord and doing what the scripture probably made him do, which was to stay in that specific world and forget about finding d3rlord and coming across the king.
this is similar to alex mining bedrock for 6 years — both were conditioned to do the same thing, over and over again, forgetting about the past, present, and future in favor of following orders.
this is also linked to the new updated document of derek’s last letter, where it says that the letter was under the property of the DMS.

disclaimer: i don’t know how entirely accurate this is to the ARG, since i haven’t fully digested the entire lore behind the three videos, but i’m onto something i swear (or i’m on something, either is very likely). i don’t know if i’m making sense and i’m too hyped up by this series to proofread whatever i just wrote.
