The recent landmark ruling on same-sex marriage by the Supreme Court has many people celebrating – and what better way to do that than with a big, lavish wedding?
While there are several high-profile gay and lesbian characters, even couples, on TV these days, there have been few on-screen nuptials over the years. But perhaps that will quickly change, now that same-sex marriage is becoming legal in a growing number of states. Take a look at 10 of the best same-sex ceremonies on TV so far.

Would one hold someone my size?? Like seriously, I’m 235lbs. and I think It would be fucking sexy.
Yes! Big Girls can work a pole and a quality, well-installed pole should be able to hold MUCH more than 235lbs :-)
Obit of the Day: James Gandolfini
James Gandolfini, who won three Emmy awards for his portrayal as gangster Tony Soprano, has reportedly died at the age of 51. Mr. Gandolfini was at the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Italy.
A New Jersey native, Mr. Gandolfini started on Broadway, debuting in the 1992 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire which starred Alec Baldwin and Jessica Lange. A year later he earned big screen fame in his role as Virgil in True Romance.
But he earned the role of his career when he was cast as the leader of the New Jersey crime family on HBO’s drama, The Sopranos, in 1999. Over the show’s six seasons (but eight years). He would earn six Emmy nods for his performance as Tony Soprano and took home three trophies. He would also earn a Golden Globe, and another three Globe nominations.
Unfortunately for Mr. Gandolfini, who according to his IMDB.com biography has some reservations about playing such a violent character which stereotyped Italian-Americans, he would find it difficult to break free of Tony. He would be featured in several films and television movies but never found a star vehicle.
Mr. Gandolfini has a teenage son, Michael, from his first marriage, and a daughter who will turn one in October 2013.

“It’s a brave new pothead world. Until fairly recently, even a year ago, I would not have guessed that we would be at the place we are now – with 18 states legalizing medical marijuana and, according to one recent poll, a whopping 85 percent of the nation supporting medical use. For all our political rancor, it turns out, what ultimately unites us is pot. Weed is one of the few things that both hillbillies and hippies like. Rappers smoke pot, and country artists smoke pot. There’s just as much pot on Willie Nelson’s tour bus as there is on Snoop Dogg’s tour bus. Marijuana is bridging the red and blue divide and becoming a purple issue.” - Bill Maher on the greening of America
