Hello my tea lovers,

From the hard work of picking seaweed to see the final product is a great payoff.

I can't thank all of you for the support on the day and follow me on this journey.

I will keep all of ye updated on how the next few weeks will go.

The showcase was fantastic, the feedback was great and positive and even people asking to buy the tea off me there on the day. To say I was nervous was underestimated. I had a great day, and it was not as back as it once though. Two years ago I saw the showcase for the first time and thinking to myself that I would never be able to so that. Here I am two years later, and all the hard work paid off, and the experience as a sales rep for my brand was ecstatic.

I see myself in a position of promotion of a brand or product I am passionate able as it would being the best out of me.

Giving the seaweed a bath!! Fun and refreshing foraging for seaweed was a great day that I would recommend people to do with a guide like The Sea Gardener on the Copper Coast in Waterford. Tangle tea out!

Every journey begins leads to the first steps

Hard work , sweat and tears but it nearly over. I am happy in this moment in time with my final year project and the support from my friends and family to continue on with my idea when many have said to scrap it. I an not an expert but in 12 weeks i have designed, marketed and developed a food product that has the potential to be sold nation wide.

Only a week to go to D-Day to the show case were industry experts will come and evaluate  my innovative final year product at Waterford Institute of Technology.

I will keep all you guys updated on the day and the days to come.

Nothing like acting like a mad scientist in the labs today. To determine the fat content in the product Tangle Tea. The fat content for the newest ingredients to the family line for the tea, ginger, lemon balm and the natural seaweed Dulse. 🐚 To my crazy food scientists and foodies alike put the 25th of April in Waterford Institute of Technology for to sample the final years product as well as this one. It is a day not to miss from 11am to 1pm to sample loads of food products and I promise you will not go hungry when leaving 😉😉 Tangle Tea out!!

The microbial results are all clear guys! No bad stuff in your tea guys. More reasons why I should keep going through with my product. Notting like eating and drinking foods and knowing it's all safe and grown by nature. No additive or chemical in our tea. Tangle Tea out my tea drinkers😇

Almost done!

The recipe for the muffins are just the way i want them to be now! Must start focusing on the showcase that will be on the 25th of April in the Tourism and Leisure building in WIT, between 11 am and 1 pm.

The decorations for the showcase will be taught about over the next few days till the big day!

Hello my tea lovers I’m back again to give you all my final flavours for my showcase on the 25th of April in Waterford Institute of Technology in the building tourism and leisure building from 11am to 1pm. All are invited and it’s free entry. I would love for you to come and see all my hard work and my class work after the 12weeks of product development.

I have found it!!! The newest love of my life I’ve discovered today. Using my favourite Dulse seaweed, freshly dried lemon balm and freshly dried thin sliced ginger.. OMG the ginger gives life to my mouth with a slight Pepper taste with the earthy aroma of the lemon balm and to bring the sea home the seaweed sneaks with a present of sea salt.

The microbial results of the fresh hand picked seaweed. There was very little growth indicating that there is no harmful bacteria present. Is brilliant to see these results. It just shows that your Irish water is very clean. Is a talk to you later guys, Tangle tea out!!

Hello my tea adventures I’m back again to bring you all around my labs for the day. Today’s testing is for moisture and ash content. It’s important to find these in the herbs and seaweed for shelf life product testing. The moisture content is done by placing the materials in a special oven at 102°C for four hours. The ash content is placed in a furnace at 555°C for four hours. The results are the calculated. It’s pretty simple so anyone can do it and that’s my little tour for today’s lab.
