It looks very good, but I'm a fan of the Wymac.
the trifecta
A couple more from the reblogs...
And there was one about Jean, but I can't find it.
I find It kind of wild that people somehow think Kevin handled the whole 'Neil is actually Nathaniel' thing badly or in a wrong way, because I honestly cannot see It.
When he finds out, the first thing he does, as soon as he is able to talk to Neil in private, is tell him to RUN, bolt, save his life. They are going to lose the season, yes, It is going to suck, but Neil needs to run before It is too late.
Neil tells him he doesnt want to. Explains his decision to him. And Kevin....respects it. Because there is no good choice for Neil in the moment. He can stay and die or he can run and maybe delay his death in a few years. This is not a easy choice to make and Kevin respects and accepts whatever Neil has decided.
This doesn't mean he likes It or that he is fine with losing Neil. Just means that there is nothing either of them can do about the fact there are way too powerful people who want Neil's head on a silver platter.
Then Neil asks Kevin to not tell Andrew, and Kevin immediately understands why. He says with all the words: "Andrew wouldnt respect your choice"
Because Kevin understands there is no good or safe choice for Neil and he understands the least he can do is allow Neil to autonomy to decide.
Most of all, Kevin keeps Neil's secret. Not because he wants to keep It, but because Neil asked him to. Kevin understands this is the most he can do for Neil in that situation.
He cannot fight the Butcher, much less the Moriyamas (neither can Andrew). He cannot make Neil stop being Nathaniel. He cannot stop the people that are after him
But he can respect Neil's choice and keep his secret. So he does. Even If he knows this will make Andrew mas at him. Because for most of Kevin's life, he had all his choices made for him, because where Kevin comes from, keeping secrets was the most power he could ever have.
It baffles me that there are people who think he has somehow been selfish of done something absurd here.
I really really need to see the art where Andrew holds a racquet up to his phone to take a picture of Neil.
May I?
Iâm insisting on my eye-damaged Neil headcanon until I forget about it
Andrew knows how to make him behave
Help I love this

Have we considered the delulu though of JEAN one day finding Neilâs binder of all things Kevin (and Riko, but Neil has long since ripped those sections out) and Jean just shaking his head, nitpicking thru some of the facts & statistics written down, going thru an interview and using his finger to read along as he says âThe press got this side of the story, but there is another.â
Neil hitting the seat beside him so fast itâs a wonder he doesnât break the chair, equipped w/ a highlighter and pen. Neil demanding to know this âother storyâ so he can add it, meanwhile Jean would consider the binder odd under any other circumstances, but this is Nathaniel and so it makes sense that heâd be just as fiercely dedicated to and obsessed with Kevin as Jean himself once was is and so he starts babbling all about this game and that interview and that one other press conference.
The two huddled together going crazy over all things Kevin Day, meanwhile Andrew is sat in the corner shaking his head and lighting a new cigarette even though he just finished the last, because âOh for fuckâs sake, now thereâs two.â
the inside out movie, but instead of Riley weâre inside neil jostenâs brain. the emotions in his arsenal are:
Panausea (Panic and disgustâs love child, nephew of Anxiety), responsible for every âNeil felt sick to his stomachâ moment
Rage (Angerâs older brother that was excommunicated from the family), responsible for every single thing Neil has ever done in proximity to Riko
Adrenaline (Joyâs coke addict uncle), responsible for the Exy Junkie side of things
and Horny (there is no documentation on where Horny came from, she just sorta appeared when Andrew came along and it was a shock to everyone), responsible for, well, a lot of gay shit
The fact that every single Fox who has met real monsters Immediately sees that Andrew isnt one is very telling
Kevin, Neil and Renee. They have all seen some of the worst people out there. Not one of them ever sees Andrew as a monster.
And yes, the other Foxes have suffered, but none of them have really met the kind of evil those three had to deal with.
Kevin, Neil and Renee have looked literal souless monstruosity in the eyes and neither of them finds it when they look in Andrew's eyes. Because It isnt there.
Andrew is violent, controling and slightly posessive. But he is no monster in any way shape or form. He cares, way more than he lets on. Andrew's main issue is that as much as he doesnt wanna feel, he still does, has never stopped.
Andrew is a victim of monsters, not a monster. And the three others on the team who have also been victims of monsters Immediately clock the truth.
Andrew Character Study Pt. 2:
Andrew Minyard uses violence as communication because it is the only language that has ever worked.
People treat Andrewâs violence as random, impulsive, or gratuitous. They frame him as volatile, dangerous, uncontrollable. And while those statements have some weight, none of them tell the whole story.
Andrew is precise.
He doesnât escalate emotionally. He doesnât beg. He doesnât explain himself more than once. He doesnât argue to be understood. When Andrew acts, itâs because every other form of communication has already failed, or was never available to him in the first place.
Andrew learned very early that words do not protect you.
Words didnât stop Tilda.
Words didnât stop the Proust.
Words didn't stop Drake.
Words didnât matter unless they were backed by force.
So Andrew stopped using them.
happy birthday my queen đđŸ
We love to call Neil oblivious or dense for not noticing he was in a slowburn romance with Andrew but how many of us were smacked in the face with the âthat doesnât mean I wouldnât blow youâthe first time you read it then of course you go back and reread and andreil was very obviously there the whole time you just get so caught up in thinking like Neil Josten that you also become oblivious so props to Nora for that
The first time you read AFTG, you are Neil.
The next time you read AFTG, you are Andrew.
