Being newlywed is a bit like being emo. I’m still not convinced it’s “just a phase.”
“Americans go overboard for the 4th” I’m sorry but the last time I checked the only thing going overboard was tea.
I don't need AI to write. I can create fake scenarios in my head perfectly fine myself.
For writing or for overthinking?
Yes.
Can you imagine God creating Golgatha? Can you imagine Him forming the hill where His beloved Son would be tortured and killed? His hand sweeping the dust to form solid ground. The rocks settling, the grass growing in patches here and there. Can you imagine His anguish at seeing His beautiful creation being used to destroy His own Son? The pain He must have felt as the cross stabbed the earth? When Mary fell to her knees in the dirt, did He shudder? Did He weep not just for His Son, but the hill He brought into existence? Can you imagine the despair and pain? Can you imagine?
What about the cross?
He plants this lovely tree, lets it grow tall and strong, all so it can be chopped down to form the cross that His son is nailed to.
Every spring leaf sprouting, every autumn burst of color all for the day it will be the death of the Lord's Son.
Ok this one hurt
Imagine God creating Golgatha, the tree that would become the cross, the tree that would become the whipping post, for that matter, and yes, it had to have broken His heart…
But then He creates the rock that would be carved into the tomb, knowing it wouldn’t be occupied for long. Then He so gently shapes the stone, knowing it would roll away.
Is your current last name indicative of your heritage? Y/N (maybe add a "I don't know" but that's up to you) @apolladay :)
Is your current last name indicative of your heritage?
Yes
No
I don't know
Sort of. My current (married) last name is German, but I’m more Norwegian than anything else. I’m a little German, a little English, and a little “IDK” (probably Italian or Greek)
Nope lol
I took my husband’s name, so it’s definitely his Dutch heritage. My own heritage is basically Dr Pepper: 23 flavors, baby
WRITERS OF TUMBLR
What do we think of Novelium? Has anyone tried it? Would you recommend it?
I've been awake for an hour.. I've been hungry the entire time.. the husband has me trapped in an embrace.. help
30 seconds after writing this post he released me.. I've acquired the snacks.. God sees your needs/desires and answers 🤣🤣 The husband is still conked out beside me
Every single morning 😅
Do you know why God decided snakes should have no arms and no legs? To remind us the enemy has been dis-armed and de-feeted!
I love God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen because it has a somewhat somber and ominous tone but the lyrics are literally telling of the reason for comfort and joy and freedom from Satan's power because the Son of God is born. It WILL be ok so long as you trust in Him, there is no other outcome. It ia the essence of what I mean about how deeper joy is found in the serious and the somber. A lot of Christmas Hymns are like that.
I have the patience of a saint unfortunately the saint in question is Peter.
Everyone talks about Belle’s cameo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but nobody talks about the Belle/bell pun it presents.
Taking my husband's last name feels like the biggest flex. Like 1. It's a cool last name and 2. It's legally now MY last name.. like what? I introduce myself as this now.. and no one knows my maiden name?? Wild.
No kidding! My husband’s last name is a lot more fun to just… roll off the tongue than my maiden name.
Does everyone pronounce it right on their first try? No, but that’s okay.
Funny enough our pastor pronounced my maiden name wrong during our ceremony 🤣 everyone and their mama's mispronounce my maiden name.. my married name however isn't so hard, especially for those who speak Spanish ;p
Ah, solidarity! Our pastor had a little trouble with the married name, but I get it. It throws a lot of people off 😅
