Hey all. Look, I said I wasnāt going to be as long this time and here I am! Itās a bloody miracle.
Ā On my catching up with blogging timeline, were currently still in Spain. So letās jump back a few weeks to the beautiful Spanish sunshine and me rushing to get my artwork finished before my exhibition opening.
In my last post, I mentioned being part of the ANA artist group and visiting one of their recent exhibitions. A week or so after that, I was invited to join a group exhibition during the Semana Santa celebrations in Orgiva. Not having any studio space to work in, I rustled up a few cheap materials and set up in our garden.
Ā Itās still going on so hereās a link for the exhibition event page ā

Apart from constantly having to keep our cats and the dog off of my work, it was perfect!
And in true Tansy fashion, I made a right mess and got both me and everything around me covered in paint.
Hereās an example of some of the work, more of which can be found on my website ā

Once Iād washed most of the paint off, I spent the rest of the day gardening. My friend had given me a load of aloe vera plants and baby cacti and I needed to make them nice and comfy in their new home.
We also had a load of papyrus, strawberries and sage that needed potting up. So, it was a pretty busy afternoon.
Finally, I had some time left, before the sun went down, to string up my sugar snap peas and do a little bit of the mountain of weeding Iād been putting off.
Ā I think I mentioned a while back that Ghost (our resident stray cat) was pregnant. We have been trying to catch her to get her spayed but she is still too wary to even be touched yet. The result of all of this is that we ended up with 4 adorable (if a little bit unwanted) kittens being born on our land.
She had three pale ginger ones and one tabby one and, by the looks of it, theyāre all little girls. So if anyone knows someone near Granada that wants a kitten, please tell them to get in touch!
Iām going to wrap it up there, and hopefully Iāll write another post soonish.
