If I tried to put into words how much Final Space and this ending meant to me, I think I would curl up on the floor and be even more of a blubbering mess than I currently am.
I don’t know if Olan will ever read this or see this but, I hope he knows that this story is important. And not only important, but it means something. It means everything to so many people. This story is so special to me and one I’m going to cherish for the rest of my life. I remember watching the very first pilot on YouTube waaaaayyy back in the day. And to be able to see it come to an end has been an honor and a privilege. I’m sad it’s ending, and I’m sad it couldn’t end on terms I know everyone wanted. But I’m glad it got an ending and a damn good one at that.
I’m still crying even as I type this. I sat down on the couch for a few minutes after finishing the book and clutched it to my chest, hugging it so tightly and hoping that every page could feel it.
I love Final Space.
I love it so so so much. This story reignited my love for drawing and stories and I can feel that flame being kindled again.
Thank you, Olan. For everything. For writing this story and bringing these characters to life. They mean the world to me and I know they mean the world to a lot of other people, too.
I cant wait to see what adventure you have in store for us next. But until then, I’ll see you in the stars!
