EID MUBARAK HOMIESS

today marks the end of the holy month ramadan where muslims fast as an act of worship, discipline, and empathy!!!

happy eid al-fitr, have a wonderful day [and wonderful cash] please forgive my mistakes ^___^ and have 2026 eid sirius!!

fun facts under the cut:

1. one of the reasons muslims fast is to be more empathetic towards the unfortunate, and also feel what they go through!! and not only that, we are also obligated to 'zakat' [donate parts of our wealth to the poor]

2. muslims also fast for health reasons, after months of churning food nonstop, our intestines deserves some rest. . . [heard about it somewhere lol]

4. in my country, people reunite with their families and kids-teens get cash during eid from their older relatives, also there are various tiny cakes at eid so we have like unlimited snack hehe so fun

3. the trees and leaves don't move during eid!! [unless purposely moved, of course] it is said that theyre also praying, like us. how cool is that??

5. we have Laylatul Qadr in one of the last 10 days of Ramadan, it is a night where Qur'an was first sent down to the world, and this night is better than 1000 months combined. the night's exact date is kept secret by Allah so muslims does good deeds genuinely during Ramadan and not only on Laylatul Qadr!

9. fasting doesn't precisely start and end on sunset and sunrise!! it starts after fajr [morning prayer] and ends on magrib [sunset prayer]

6. Ramadan isn't only about holding yourself from eating and drinking, but also holding yourself from things like speaking rudely, using cruel words, and other bad things that is usually normalized!!

7. oh and accidentally eating/drinking during ramadan doesn't break your fast, count it as Allah feeding you lol

8. i heard that if you're sick during the last 10 days of Ramadan, it get rids of some of your sins [i think when you get sick/experience something painful by default [not only on Ramadan], you still get soem of your sins erased]
