Happy Valentine's Day! Three months ago, after I upgraded my Clip Studio Paint software to EX 4.0 in November, I had a crazy idea for an animation. I wanted to recreate the iconic moment from "The Owl House" where Luz and Amity shared a direct kiss after being reunited, but with JohnKat (John Egbert x Karkat Vantas) from Homestuck. Yeah, my head is so deep into Homestuck that I thought this was a good Idea (which it was), but my god, the journey was a bit chaotic getting to this point. I was working on this on my jank ass laptop for the first month and was basically kissing death doing that, considering my old laptop is prone to crashing at random and corrupting my files on this project. Thankfully, I got a new laptop in the second month of January, and the progress became a lot faster and stress-free. It's not the cleanest, and some parts were rushed for time, but I managed to fully complete it last week with some updated tweaks. Despite how stressful this process was, I do believe that this was worth it, and I'm proud of the commitment I made to making this a reality. All this for a fucking Homestuck ship I'm obsessed with, gotta love priorities. :)
