Tarot Round Robin Readings

Inspired by @resonance-of-libra to  host one of these. Shoot me an ask if you’d like to sign up. What happens is that I will randomly select/pair up two Tarot readers; you will not be selected to read for the person who reads for you, and vice versa. The readers themselves set limits on the types of questions that they will accept.  Deck choices could also be an option (i.e. pick which deck you’d like to read). Also, this hasn’t been done before, but I will give the option of offering oracle readings instead of Tarot decks.  Will operate in a similar fashion, except be catered more toward a certain issue, dream, fancy, etc. I will be setting a slot of 20.  Will take more or less depending on interest or popularity level.   Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!

Entries are open until the end of week, so friday 11:59pm Hawaii (so pretty much Saturday 1pm British time)

At which point you’ll be paired, and will have three days from then to do readings. It’s a small time frame robin.

No split groups this time, just one mod, so it’s a divination robin, including tea leaves, tarot, I Ching, whatever you want to practice and/or bring to the table.

So get your names in, and any questions, just ask in the ask box!

Personally, I feel the time allotted was good. A week is generally a flexible enough time space for a reading to be done in, especially if lots of people were doing quick readings.

Thanks' yeah I thought about it more and I feel pretty good about the week time limit as well

I'm a new tarot reader and i really want to open up for free practice readings, but im worried that i might be too far from knowing what im doing and doing it well, and i would feel awful if a blunder of mine gave someone an inaccurate reading. I'd really love to do this, but I'm just worried about how it would turn out. I know i need the practice, I just don't want to give anyone the wrong information. :(

A simple disclaimer, saying that you’re doing the readings for practice and they may be inaccurate as a result, should be all you need to deter negative feedback. Most querents are understanding of things like that.

I participated in the tarotroundrobin so I could practice readings for other folks, and my first experience was really good, if that’s something you might want to try. My partner was really nice and gave good feedback. I felt like it was a safe place to practice. But I also think if you want to open up for practice readings, you should do it. Just trust in yourself. Tell folks it’s for practice and that feedback is appreciated. And if you do get it wrong, that’s what the practice is for. I totally wouldn’t be offended if someone gave me wrong information, esp in this kind of setting. Just do it!

UwU it warms my cold cold heart that you enjoyed it and I'm sure the other mod would be happy as well! The intent of this game was to create a safe space to practice and possibly make friends so thanks for the shout out! In my personal experience tho offering free readings and putting the emphasis for practice so that it can allow room for mistakes. Plus it helps to remember you're GIVING a free service and it's really no big deal if you're wrong it happens all the time

Hey guys! Soo the first tarot round robin is coming to an end tomorrow I hope everyone is enjoying it! A recent flareup in a illness I have reminded me that of course things happen that may make us unable to do readings as quickly as we’d like to! Was everyone satisfied with the amount of time allotted for them or were you wishing for more/less time? *chin hands* any other suggestions you have?
