Well I’m not Dead
Moved across the state. Been here for about a year now. Finishing out some contract work on the 5th and then I guess I’m going to substitute teach for a while.
I didn’t realize how long it had been since I walked away from tumblr. This place is still super weird. XD
Anyway, just wanted to say: Happy 2018! Yay for not being dead!
So I did a thing. Don’t really regret it, but we’ll see how it goes. I quit school. For now anyway, for this semester. I dropped it and walked away. I currently have no job and I’m not in school... and I have no idea what I’m going to do. But I feel free, and I’m thinking, and I’m clearing my head so that I can write... We’ll see what happens. I have enough money to last me until the end of November. And either then it’s find a job and pull my head out of my ass, or make some magic happen. Right now, I’m trying for magic.
Do I want to be an actor? ... I thoroughly enjoy acting. I’d rather be in class learning than anywhere else... But homework, coming home... Man, I don’t want to be in this town anymore. I lose all will to exist the moment i step through the front door of my house.
What the hell am I doing here? I have options? Do I really want another degree? and then a masters? I’ll be here for another 3-5 years. How much will I hate my life by then?
Working out for about an hour every day because of my classes. The thought of food is nauseating, I get sick of eating it while eating it... While eating, it actually upsets my stomach...
And then I weighed myself and discovered I was at 220lbs and I want to sleep for the next three weeks... -_-;
How to come up with names for your dystopian teen lit:
Try to say regular names with a bunch of Oreos in your mouth!
Examples: Jocelyn = Jorslun. Elizabeth = Lisbit. Daniel = Dannel.

Following up on this idea. I tried this method with a hamburger in my mouth, in lieu of Oreos. Results:
Alice = Allit. Mark = Marth. Tommy = Domi.
Confirmed: a mouth full of President Choice White Mac and Cheese produces a subset of names with a more badass tilt to them.
Examples: Chris = Rith. Brittany = Brickney. Megan = Mayhem.

So I’ve been involved with theatre for about a year now, and I’ve learned an insane amount of... stuff. And tonight, when I should be doing so many other things, I find myself analyzing the acting choices of the cast of Criminal Minds in Season 2.
For example: Just about the entire BAU seems to lead with their head. They’re field agents, they are always looking, examining, finding. Except! .. Reid. Dr. Reid doesn’t lead with... anything. He uses what’s inside his head to connect the dots. He walks almost entirely upright with the random few occasions he has a slight lead with his hips, which makes me wonder if this is the actor or the character?
Hmmm.... Curiosity.

Cute guy is going. Part of the cast... But, this isn’t cute guy that didn’t get fries with me that once upon a time. This is 18 year old cute guy and even talking about this makes me uncomfortable because I feel old. Just a thing.
Down to 208lbs from 240 at the beginning of last year. Not bad. Aiming for 200 by the end of the year. Doable, but I eat like shit, so... who knows.

You know what I’m sick of? The limited creativity when it comes to the design of pads and tampons. It’s almost always the same: simple, ““feminine””, cute, pastel-colored packaging, as if our periods are cute and fun. Sometimes they even have little flowers on the packaging! Aww, it’s almost as if they’re trying to distract you from the fact that people who bleed out of our bodies for a week aren’t fucking METAL. You know what we need?

The packaging shiny and chrome. Illustrations of people doing back flips off their motorbikes with fucking explosions in the background. Quotes on each pad that say stuff like “if I’m going to bleed, I’m going to bleed historic on the fury road!” or “I LIVE! I BLEED! I LIVE AGAIN!”. Furiosa and the mothers and the Vuvalini saying inspiring things n shit to support you so you can make it another month. Just sayin’ you know
