SUNSHINE.

Today the sun was out and it was so good for my soul.  My guy and I headed out for a quick coffee and bagel. He makes me laugh and we always have such fun together.  

Even though today was a sunshine day, it was the perfect flannel and jacket wearing weather.  I am already putting this vintage levi's jacket in my "never-get-rid-of-this section of my closet".  

These heels are my most loved heels of all time. I'm wearing them as much as I can before the dreaded winter snow comes our way. I love them because you can basically pair them with..anything. 

I hope you got some sunshine today, too.

BLACK X DENIM.

the color black is being worn by me pretty much every day. black paired with denim is my staple..probably always will be. These vintage Levi cutoffs I handmade paired with this comfy thin black sweater was the perfect outfit for a warm fall day.  throw on my fav high tops and boom...bring on the day.

BOLT.

I love lightning bolts. So when I found this Bolt T several months back at The Minted Exchange, I had to get it.  Paired with my new fav cardigan, an old "trusty" pair of skinnys, and my favorite high tops = comfy, perfect fall look.  Unfortunately, the bolt t is sold out now...but...my favorite girls Ascot and Hart have a new line of Bolt items now! THE MIDWEST COLLECTIVE

I've had a dream popping around in my heart for awhile now.  I love the pop up shop culture, I love local shops, and I love handmade and vintage items.  

Out of this passion, and a similar passion of a friend of mine, was born The Midwest Collective.  A group of small shop owners that team up together to grow their shops, creativity, and passions.  

We're just 8 days away from the very first #TMCPOPUP and I can hardly wait.  If you're in the area, come hang with us at Eli's Coffee Shop next Saturday! 

My friend, Emilie, and I did a fun photo shoot with Twoeyedrob photography to have a little fun, capture some great images of our pieces, and promote our pop up.

FALL MEETS SUMMER.

It normally lasts a short, wonderful, tiny amount of time...but it's my favorite. That lovely mix of summer meets fall. I love it. The smell of sunshine mixed with fall air is the best. 

This weather inspires me to mix summer + fall pieces. Aka my trusty cutoffs, flannels, and kimonos. 

P.S how fab are these shoes? I never wear heels, but these were a steal and the comfiest pair of heels I've ever wore.  Win.
