Recently, my seven year old Main Coone was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease. Itās geneticā¦there is no cure. Once they show signs, their time is limited.
So last Thursday, Wylde Nac Mac Feegle, my beautiful baby swiffer, passed away. I couldnāt stand the idea of him losing his vision and having seizures so we waited until the very last moment and had him put to sleep. He was so weak. His blood pressure was so low and his vision was already going. His meow was just a weak thread soundā¦.
I held him and sang to him as he passed. He was my grumpy little boy and Iāll always miss him.
Iāll always remember my husband bringing me this little 3 week old fluff ball and the horrible realization that his little hip was broken. I watched a YouTube video on how to set a catās hip (yes, really) and did my best, but I couldnāt keep him still. The little monster figures out he could move and was a ball of play afterwards.
He was buried with his Chicky, his favourite toy that he loved to carry around and sing about. I miss his voiceā¦. I miss seeing his fluffy behind romping around the house. I even miss having to move him out of the sink so I could brush my teeth to get ready for work.
My darling little Wombler, I will always love you <3
