In your headcanon why was squad 451 sent with no apparent backup to a street littered with tar and tracker jacker pods that were more then they were capable of dismantling? (and near the Frontline)
The Holo was inaccurate

As always I have thought about this too much!
My head cannon was they were behind the actual fighting. Certain streets had been left as it was deemed too time consuming to defuse the traps when they could use another route. The goal was to get the Snows mansion.
Back up was never going to come to their aid because they weren't going to divert troops away from the fighting to save them. They were kinda on their own from the beginning.
The Star squad were half an elite team and half a bunch of traumatized kids.
I think initially Coin (with Boggs insistence) put them in a position where it was dangerous enough to look real but statistically was safer. So at the beginning it was they are capable of clearing the streets as needed.
However.
As soon as Peeta arrived, Boggs knew Coin wanted Katniss dead. Not in a Machiavellian scheming way of Katniss must die but more of a right now the girl is being a pain in my ass so I need to distract her with something... oh I know! her murderous but not so murderous boyfriend, he 'fixed' that should stop her causing more problems and if he does kill her *shrug*

I have been on a bit of a writing spree. 18 chapters and more is coming probably tomorrow or maybe even today (depending on how long I can avoid doing my actual work) I can guarantee lots of Peeta being the best human alive and Katniss trying to give it back.
Tonight after so much uncertainty we are happy to announce the return of our blessedly beloved couple. Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen!

The Gardener’s Supper
First day of @tolkien-food-week is here and I am having fun already. this. The prompt is soup and hobbits Potatoes soup came to mind with our favorite hero, Mister Gamgee.

Recipe - Serves 6 1½ litres vegetable or chicken stock 5 potatoes (peeled and diced) 1 carrot (peeled and diced) 2 bay leaves 5 allspice berries 1 tbsp butter 1 onion (diced) 1 tbsp plain flour Optional: 50g sausage (sliced and fried) Method Step 1 Put the stock in a large pan and bring to a simmer, then add the chopped potatoes and carrots along with the bay leaves and allspice berries. Cover with a lid and cook over a medium-low heat for 30 mins, or until the vegetables are very tender. They should be easily pierced with a sharp knife. Step 2 Add the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic for 8-10 mins or until soft and lightly golden. Add the flour, stir to make a paste (or roux) and cook until golden. Add 2 tbsp of the stock from the veg to the roux and stir until smooth, then scrape this into the rest of the stock and stir until combined. Bring the mixture back to a simmer and cook for 1 hr. The potatoes will break down and the soup will thicken. (You can blend with a hand blender if you prefer a smoother soup) Step 3 Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sausage and add the slices of fried sausage to the soup, if you like.

Getting better at this consistent writing thing. Not so much at the telling people about it. However I did remember this time so that is a win.
