In “where no man has gone before” Spock says that one of his ancestors married a human. Which is fucking hilarious given that said ancestor is just his dad
yayy kiradax doodle :3
Kiradax you will always be canon to me 🫶
I don't know man the new Starfleet Academy show is about a generation of faculty that remembers a kinder world doing their level damndest to teach the new generation how to build one better than they've lived to see and if that doesn't sound exactly like what Star Trek should be doing right now then I don't know what to tell you
Tumblrites, the hour has come for us to practice one of our most sacred rituals.
Likes to charge, reblogs to cast.
Kira "nothing justifies genocide" Nerys, we need you now more than ever
Has this been done yet lol
always shaken by the reminder that Nog was only a sophomore in the Academy when the Dominion War broke out. Not only did he not get to complete his academy training, he was only about halfway through at best
And I can’t quite remember what other details are given, in ds9, lower decks, or elsewhere, but it seems reasonable to assume that a lot of the cadets in nog’s year were also in a similar situation. Doing field training on starships and starbases, get pulled into the war when it breaks out, get field commissions and never resume their regular academy training and being students instead of soldiers
the thing is when people say a specific fanfic trope comes from supernatural they usually mean "it was invented by the supernatural fandom in a fanfic". on the other hand, when people say a specific fanfic trope comes from star trek, they mean "it was the plot of at least one star trek episode"

I remember when I got to the T'pol pon farr episode of Star Trek: Enterprise and maybe I'm just a big believer in women's rights to do wrongs, but I was genuinely hoping the resolution would be T'pol killing a guy. Like I seriously did NOT want the fix to be her hooking up with Dr. Phlox or anyone else to the point that I'd rather she strangle a man to death... I know there was never any real chance of her killing someone, but she is my favorite character and I was already fed up with her constantly being reduced to the "hot alien woman".
Thankfully she didn't hook up with anyone that episode, but it was looking dicey for a minute.
Spot. The difference.
