Tldr: magelanto and mermaid kingdom in a war, Javier is royal guard and Lloyd is political hostage
Javier: A human, got picked up as a child by Alicia and very loyal to her. He is already a sword master, and still suffers from his supersenses. Covers almost all his body parts by clothes to atleast suffer less.
Lloyd: Still transmigrated Kim Suho, but you know. Mermaid. He red TKOBAI, but the original one and wasn't expecting to get into this mermaid au lmaao. He is doesn't know what will happen in what order. Frontera here is mermaid aristocracy family
-Javier falls first AND hard. So hard that even Lloyd picks up on that. You can literally see how his brain cells die in real time.
-Lloyd loves to tease him, like kiss him on the cheek or compliment him. Javier is very not okay, while Lloyd losing his shit(don't worry, he will also fall in love, eventually)
-Lloyd have tattoos on his upper body, it symbolizes that he is from mermaid aristocracy. It helped him to get recognized(dude though that he will be eaten)
-Lloyd have time of his LIFE. Dude eats free, he can ask everything from Javier, and he doesn't need to work? That's sick!(don't worry, he fuck it up for himself)
-Alicia honestly thinks that Lloyd is just very loyal to his country so that he doesn't share anything related to war from mermaids side. But the dude got snatched like, week after he isecaed. He doesn't know anything.
-Alicia just hinted that she could extract information from him in other ways, but Lloyd got so scared that he is now forsed to do construction work. Everyone in the palace thinks it's the mermaids' military developments, while he thinks he'll be killed at any opportunity (it's not true, his life is too important).
-After that hint Lloyd spent the whole night thinking that he would be killed at any moment if he didn't come up with something. At morning he fell asleep in the pool like the corpse, and Javier thought that he drown when he tried to save him. Take a wild guess who had to be saved in the end.
-Mermaid kiss in lips gives you breath underwater for 24 hours. Guess who tries to abuse it.
-At some point in time Lloyd finds out that he can grow legs, and go out from his aquarium. That body function needed for reproduction(wink wink nudge nudge), because mermaid do it like humans, just live underwater
-He needs a lot of water in the human form and gets dehydrated very quickly.
-Why Lloyd's clothes have so many holes? Because of his fins. Why there is holes where is no fins? Idk, ask Javier, he is the one who order clothes.
-In some way, Lloyd glad that he got into this situation. He didn't spend a lot of time with og!Lloyd parents, but he really feels bad for them losing their son metaphorically and physically.
-When he was captured, he was contained in a barrel. He periodically snapped his teeth so nobody will go near him(and never even thought of peeing in a barrel)
-Siluria is royal mage, friends with Javier and laughs hysterically when he goes to her and asks "So, MY FRIEND has a crush..."(he literally have no friends other than her, he is just that smitten)
-Lloyd has a tight collar around his neck (This collar partially covers his gills) that tracks him. Javier has bracelet that connected to the collar
-Lloyd attends galas like war trophy, and Javier is not okay with that fact, because he feels that this dehumanizing Lloyd. (Btw it was Lloyd's idea, he just here for free food)
-Javier tries to flirt with him like it was said in the books, gives him flowers and jewelry, but it doesn't really work on Lloyd. He wears gifts and takes care of the flowers, because Javier will be sad if he didn't:(
