Meet Mr. Croaks! A travelin’ merchant outside of town that sells an assortment of goodies, ranging from armor, weapons, healing items, and so on. He can repair your weapons and craft new ones, if you got the money for it. He’s a bit of a trickster! Only willing to sell a fair price if you’ve got the guts for it, don’t so soft on him he’ll only take you seriously if you’re worthy of his wares so bargain with him if you can, sweet talk, show him what you’re made of!

He’s an incredibly experienced monster hunter, don’t be fooled by his incredibly short height, he has defeated countless monsters way back then with his old crew of lean, mean, green, fighting machines.
Although as time passed and things got more industrial, Ribbert doesn’t retire nor’ go back to live a more modern life. He does things old school! You can’t always rely on guns and fancy tools.
He is well aware of the Pillars and often scoffs their reputation as ‘heroes’. So when he first met Howdy he liked to mess with him a bit, get on his nerves. When Ribbert realized this kid is different from the rest of his family, he decided to give him some advice and show him how things are done around these parts.
He taught him how to craft, showed him the use of different special herbs in these forests, becoming a bit of a mentor for him!

I'm low-key guilty BC I literally only know about Van Helsing from Hotel Transylvania 3 so-- :'DD
BUT ALSO Ribbert is so funky man I love him. He's such a quirky fella. it'd be funny if he sometimes shows up conveniently when Howdy least expects it, but also be so difficult to find when Howdy is actively looking for him--

Popping up at random times, heck- even inside abandoned areas Howdy’s exploring- Like, imagine him hunting a monster in the dark and he just hears a bell jingle

Anyways, silly monster hunting duo teehee.. Sometimes he tags along Howdy to hunt these monsters for his collection, he’s been looking forward for more vampire teeth, muahahaha!

This is Ribbert Croaks! The Ringleader of the traveling circus Choo Choo carries around all the time. He’s a witty, slightly grumpy, old frog that’s basically the father figure of his fellow circus members. He’s the only one on the train who can understand Choo Choo’s language of whistles and is well experienced in engineering considering he’s the only fella that can fit and fix up the pink train.
Choo Choo is home to 8 members, the ringleader, the trapeze brothers, the tightrope walker, the firebreather, the beast, the juggler, and the magician. She has various carts holding up a variety of items, and the train only stops when the gang hosts a show.
Every now and then I like to think the two trains cross tracks with each other!
Choo Choo often wakes Charlie up when she sees him with a lil toot of the whistle.
A soft spoken and sweet jester who always manages to calm his fellow neighbors down. Once a part of a traveling circus the forgetful jester has somehow ended up in the neighborhood. There, he was well known for his sweet lullabies and hosts the best sleepovers.I wanted to jump in on the Welcome Home bandwagon for a while now! Glad to see it’s blowing up on Tumblr.
