This is the letter I got from Jake Wednesday. It was great to hear from him. I was missing him a lot that day and when I heard I got a letter I ran to my mailbox in the rain to get this amazing letter my boyfriend wrote me. Also containing 25 dollars for Dunkin Donuts coffee. It's for certain I have the best boyfriend in the world, even if he is in boot camp he still manages to spoil me. I love him and I miss him dearly, on 28 more days till I see him. :)
Missing your Milso.
I may not be the most intelligent person or the person with many psychology degrees (which I do plan on getting), but I do understand what missing somebody is like. Those people who say they haven't talked to their boyfriend/girlfriend in an hour do not know what missing somebody is or realize how hard it truly is to not speak to somebody for days upon days. Being with a person in the military is hard on you. It eats you alive. You don't only miss them physically but also mentally.
Let me tell you this though, you start to realize how much all those little things truly mean to you. When you can't speak or see somebody for a long amount of time you realize how much they truly mean to you, or how much they truly don't. You realize all the small things they did that you never gave a second thought about till now. You start to appreciate the smallest littlest things. Like when they babied you when you didn't feel good, bought you food you wanted, took you to a movie you really wanted to see, in my case take you to the zoo because you REALLY wanted to go. Lol. The little cute things they did you never realized till now. Oh, and those things that they did that got on your nerves.... Yeah you start missing those too. You start to want any little thing from them. To hear them snore, to hear their laugh, to have them bug the shit out of you. Just anything as long as they are by your side. But we know that's not exactly the easiest thing to accomplish with them being in the military. I'm here to tell you to soak up those little moments, those little kisses, the hugs, the cuddling, the playing around, the joking. Remember all those good happy times, and reminisce when they are away. You may cry, but you'll also be smiling while doing it. Just remember they love you, and you love them. That's the most important thing in the world, that you love one another unconditionally to the end of times.
You can always ask me for advice guys, I'll help as much as I can. I'll be the person to pick you up when your sad. I don't care if I've never met you in my life, if you have a milso and you need somebody to make you feel better I'll be here.
I am starting to forget what it felt like
to fall asleep with your body
collapsed around mine
Beautiful. Its weird how realistic that statement truly is.
Day Fourteen: How often do you see each other?
We saw each other everyday before he left. Due to the fact that he is in bootcamp, I haven't seen him in about 5 weeks.. 5 long long long....... long weeks.
Day Thirteen: Your song.
I would have to say it is "Forever and ever amen" by Randy Travis.
Day Twelve: Ten things you like about them.
1. Eyes
2. Smile
3. Kiss
4. Lips
5. Body
6. Personality
7. Humor
8. Sweetness
9. Laugh
10. Everything!! <3
We All Know This Feeling! <3
YES!
Day Eleven: Why is your relationship different from others?
Our relationship is different from others, due to the fact that we have been on and off for three years but during our off times we were still best friends and helped one another. Also we have a connection that is like no other. We have taught each other for three years to be with each other, we have trained each other to be perfect for one another. It sounds weird to most people when I say I have trained him, but I have and he has trained me. lol
Day Ten: How many times have they upset you?
He has upset me a lot, but what relationship hasn't been upset by the other. Things happen, shit gets said, but its always up to you to get past it. There is no such thing as a relationship without getting upset with one another, and if their is then that relationship wont last. Nobody is perfect, no relationship is perfect.
BTW I didn't get to do this yesterday so I did it today.
Day Nine: Inside joke.
We don't have an inside joke really.
Day Eight: What does his/her family think of you?
They honestly love me. They love me, and I love them. They like the way I treat Jake. His father even encourages marriage.
My heart belongs to a sailor…
Day Seven: What do you think of their family?
I love his family! They are great people and just act like im one of their own. His dad has told him for about a year to marry me, and he has given us advice about marriage a lot. His dad is a great man and ill be happy the day he becomes my father-in-law. His mom is a sweet kind woman, who knows my father. She has liked me over all of his girlfriends because I treat him right and truly love him. She I quiet though, sometimes that makes me think she doesn't like me. But my boyfriend tells me otherwise. I am actually riding with her to his graduation. All the way from East Tennessee to the Great Lakes. It should be interesting. (his parents are divorced). I love his family like my own. I would do anything for them and protect them with my life for my boyfriends sake.
A salute to all of the men and women that serve our wonderful country. An even bigger salute to the families who are left behind... Proud USN Wife
I personally found this song while riding with my recruiter to a Hometown Heroes thing. I couldn't quite hear it so I just typed down some lyrics in my notes on my phone. Well today I searched for this song and this is what I had found. This beautiful most memorable song that I have ever heard. It made me cry the hardest ive cried since my boyfriend has left for bootcamp. Do to the fact that me and him both love country, this truly hits home with me. I wrote the lyrics in a letter to him and I hope this makes him understand the pain us women go through losing out men to the navy, and the struggle we must go through. I love him dearly and I hope you guys love this song as much as I do. Reblog if you want, all us navy girlfriends deserve to have this song to listen, and to show our sailors.
Day Six: Nicknames for one another
We have plenty.
He called me Lil Monster one day and therefore he became Big Monster.
There is Sailor and Sailorette
Batgirl and Robin(one of our Halloween costumes)
The obvious Babe and Baby
Babygirl and Babyboy
He use to call me Kitty
So many more over the years, I just cant remember them all.
