Sabrina Carpenter talks about Taylor in a new interview with Rolling Stone:
âI hold her to such a different echelon,â Carpenter says of Swift. âI could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what sheâs done.â
Carpenter gets animated talking about her TTPD favorites (âGuilty as Sin,â for one). âShe always puts out music at a time where I didnât realize I needed those songs,â Carpenter says. âWeâre very, very verbal with each other about our mutual love and admiration.⌠She played me âBut Daddy I Love Himâ before it came out, and thatâs also one of my favorites.â
Carpenter says the Skims campaign, a viral success, didnât cause her any grief with her friend, and she didnât pay attention to online criticism she got for doing it. âAs much as people want to believe youâre tuned into every little thing, Iâm not because Iâm constantly working. In that scenario, Iâve been very, very communicative with her about that situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end,â Carpenter says. âSo it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because thatâs all they have time to do.â
