This is for all you peeps out there who are feeling hurt, insufficient, and misunderstood because of others, even supposed “friends”, ridiculing, accusing, and back-stabbing you: demanding that you “unfriend”, “un-follow” and “get away from” them simply because you voted for Trump, or preferred him for presidency over another candidate.

I’m sorry. I’m sorry it’s happening. I’m sorry it’s a reality. I’m sorry that those who shout and riot for “unity” and “equality” want to isolate and abandon you in the process, as though doing so will somehow fix the problem and improve the situation.

We need unity now more than ever. We need empathy and we need more people who are slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to listen.
