“It’s going awesome. Great to be back in the motherland, honestly.” James smiled enthusiastically. “Thanks. I knew you probably wished that I had gotten taller since the last time I saw you, but still 5′7.” He chuckled. “Really good. Finishing up Med School here in Albuquerque, so I plan on sticking around. What are you doing here?”
“It is nice, isn’t it? I don’t think I’ll ever leave again, I was just meant to be here,” he commented thoughtfully. “Hey, we can’t all be Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome,” he teased, ruffling up James’ hair playfully. “Besides, you’re only an inch shorter than me. What’s the real difference?” he questioned rhetorically, knowing there wasn’t one. “Med School, so overrated,” he rolled his eyes, but was obviously joking. “That’s really great, man, I bet your parents are real proud. I’ve been living here for about three years now,” he said with a nod. “Just living life.”
