I go abroad for 5 days on friday, so i will be on a semi hiatus for those days!

Abroad tomorrow for 5 days.. I will be around in the evening more than likely but i will be slow for everything i suspect until i am home back in the UK. I really need to switch off and not think about work, hoping i am able to do that.

Being back on mainland was never the funnest for Cleo. Everyone else upon the Jolly Roger went off to taverns and some brothels. Her Captain remained on the ship however as did the First Mate Smee. Cleo usually went into the taverns but tonight? She decided to stay by the ship, overlooking the sea. It had always called to her, ever since she was young. Tonight was no different, listening to the soft waves hit under the bridge of the harbour, the ruckess behind her of men who stumbled in and out of various abodes.

Cleo was a pretty young woman, hazel eyes with a flush to her cheeks and freckles dotted across the bridge of her nose from her time at sea. Auburn curls resting upon her shoulders, covering up the tattoos she had on her neck. A singular rune, yet Cleo didn't have more than one tattoo, they were testaments to how many battles she had won.

She sat upon the dock, one leg hanging over the edge as her eyes cast to the glowing moon that made the moving water glisten silver under its light.

"My mother says I have Irish eyes Irish eyes, Irish eyes. My mother says I have Irish eyes, they go ever so blue under stormy skies. But they're never so blue as when I let them cry.."

She sang the soft melody, always the one who was known aboard to lift the spirits of the crew, shanties, stories..even the gentleness of soft melodies. Her cutlass hung at her side, attached with its leather belt to keep it in place.

Lost at sea, the waves pulling him and the small piece of wood ship that he clung too. Water rushing into his open and gasping mouth, his lungs filling until it becomes too much. Unbearable. And then he sinks. Sinking down to the bottom of the ocean.

Jolting awake, Kai was covered in a light sheen of sweat. The blond hair matted to his skull, the tattered old blanket hung loosely around him as he rolled in his bed. His dark blue eyes peered around, the wind blowing the piece of fabric he had placed over one of the windows. Kai could read the sun and sky from there, it was about midday, he figured.

The dream is already a sinking memory. Sinking… The word clung to him, stayed in his brain long after the sentence had dissipated. Rolling again, he stretched and yawned. The sounds of the dock below his small, abandoned living space were becoming more and more clear. He could hear the gulls squawking and the sounds of the sea splashing against the rocks, the sounds the spray made as it entered the air before slapping down onto the rocks. Kai’s lids became heavy again, the sounds of the sea were calming and naturally put him at ease every time. Before drifting off to sleep again, another sound filtered through his open windows. Someone singing..

The song was easily very familiar, Kai knew all the shanties. But the voice, that was a mystery to him. Lying in bed, he listened for a while before deciding to have a peek. The voice belonged to a woman, she sounded to be about Kai’s age, from what he could assume. Walking out, he ducked to exit his door, a quick hand snaking into the doorway as he snatched up his shoes. In another swift movement, Kai slid the shoes on before dropping to his knees and laid on his belly. 

In the prone position, Kai could see the woman now. She had her back to him, face towards the open sea and he immediately grinned. His own voice was soft as he sang along with her.

“I'm a map of the world and the ones before. One foot in sea and one on the shore. Every step, every hope flung high. I'm a map of them all with my Irish eyes.”

Cleo heard the voice behind her, finishing the song in her stead. Someone had been watching her. Her hand instantly went to the cutlass on her hip, getting immediately to her feet hazel hues surveying the horizon yet she couldn't see anyone.. it was only when her eyes went down did she see the young man laying on the ground which made her raise her brow.

Her head tilted to the side, yet she did not remove her sword. "..Been spying on me?" She queried taking a step further toward him there was no caution however. "What are ya doin' on your stomach anyway?" Another question, it was the most peculiar position to spy on her.

She saw a few of the men from her crew, Bill Jukes went to take hold of the faired haired male "Leave him! He is doing no harm." Her fellow crew mate looked toward Cleo then to Kai, "If ya sure lass.." he took a step back, "You know the Cap'n's orders, no tomfollery!" Cleo reminded to which the Pirate smirked. "Aye Crain, I know.." he went back to the main square, staggered back to the tavern of which he came.

She took a further step, now opposite him placing her sword back by her hip. He was handsome, no doubt about that. "Bill Jukes is the rugged sort..uses fists before he thinks" Cleo commented, although she was sure they all did, except Hook and Smee. Yet she kept her name under wraps, all except her Surname of which Jukes had undoubtly given away. She then couldn't help the small smirk that formed across her features, "You like shanties too then? Wouldn't be singing them with me if ya didn't" Hazel hues briefly looked up to the Jolly Roger, in case her Captain decided to call down for orders, but today was a day off for the crew to relax and enjoy their time on land.

I haven't been here today, tired mentally.. got a lot going on and i just need my holiday. What has been nice is people telling me multiple times that i look great and i am glowing 🥹 clearly putting my energy back into me (& not some loser) has done wonders!

Honestly while i am abroad for 5 days, i will mostly be spending it with family, doing some reading and unplugging, i need to just reset completely. When i am home i then have 4 days to sort my room out and clear it so we can redecorate it at some stage, i want a bookshelf and just have some proper analogue things.

"it's not like england. it's not just me she'd get." peter came with a lot of baggage. it looked great on the outside. but it was work and making decisions he sometimes didn't even want to make. how do you look at someone and order them in dungeons or exile for their life? peter already shouldered it. why would he do that to someone else he cared about? he was smirking a bit to ease his sister's worries. maybe she could tell he was in his head about it already. "and it's not just having to deal with you three for the rest of her life."

"Peter.." Susan's voice became soft, a sigh passing her lips as she sat beside her older brother. "You think she doesn't know that? The responsibility? I think you underestimate her" such like a Sibling to comment, to be honest. "Cleo can handle what she gets thrown her way, I have seen her do it. She leads without knowing she is leading, plus the way she is with both Ed and Lucy..I like her, a lot" Of course Susan was doing her best trying to get Peter out of his head, she was her brother after all. Susan saw the auburn haired woman already part of their family.

"We do not know what decisions she had to make on Sea, hard choices I imagine. You care about her it is only natural you wish to protect her, but she also loves you, and I know you also love her" Susan couldn't help the smile, bumping in playfully into his side with her shoulder. "I see it every time you look at her.." Susan couldn't help the smile that grew in that moment "I think if you asked her, she would say yes in a heartbeat." She glanced up to Peter, scanning his features for a flicker of truth behind his eyes. "It can't just be because of the duties that come along with it?"

Parties..the youngest Holmes sibling, Ophelia, hated them perhaps just as much as Sherlock. She held a glass of champagne in her grasp, quickly going to Watson with her back turned. Hiding.. from a young gentleman who seemed to want her attention. Now Ophelia wasn't like her siblings, she enjoyed the simpler things like her bakery and books. "Tell me he is going away.." Ophelia muttered to John, sipping her drink. "He wants to dance and I am not interested. Lawyer, definitely don't want to be with a lawyer." She mused as warm chocolate hues looked up to Watson.

"Where are my brothers anyway? They are usually watching me like a hawk." She paused, making sure not to make eye contact with the young man who was trying to persue her. "Why did I say yes to Mycroft? I knew this was a bad idea..I should have stayed at home with my books." Panic, social situations were not her forté in the slightest. "I don't dance, I can dance I just choose not to and certainly not with the opposite gender who is clearly trying to get my attention." Now Ophelia was a very beautiful young woman, porcelain features with strong cheekbones and jawline, brunette curls that rest on her shoulders and warm chocolate brown eyes that when the sun hit them they were like golden honey.

Eilonwy couldn't help the gentle smile, looking up to Evander as he stood opposite. "Yes, but it won't be good for maneavuer practise tomorrow if you cannot see" Eilonwy responded, finger tips lightly placing on his jawline to inspect the bruising properly under the light. "Mm, I still think you should go Evander" The redhead protested, deep blue hues keeping on his expression. "Next time, perhaps be a bit quicker, you might not be so lucky and I do not wish to see a friend with more than a broken nose and black eyes" She remarked lightly, allowing her hand to fall back to her side.

"Thank you though..for sticking up for me with Imogen..although I am sure she is not all pent up anger" A slight smirk crossed rose coloured lips, deciding to place her flight jacket back on. "Walk with me?" Eilonwy enquired, it wasn't often she was stood talking to others, yet Evander was nice and was pleasant company to be around.

Standing up, Evander almost immediately felt dizzy. Mentally, he shook it off, but physically, it was almost impossible. "I'll be alright," he said before feeling her finger tips on his skin. He winced, face scrunching up. He felt the pain travel through his face. "No, no. I'll be alright. Besides, Bar has my back." Taking in a deep breath, his ears started to ring slightly before a low grumble rang though his mind. Bar was definitely making his presence known. "A friend, huh?" He smiled as best as he could, split lip stretching.

Nodding, he slung his flight jacket over his shoulder. "Imogen isn't so bad once you can get through her lack of trust." Evander shrugged at his own words before nodding at he question. "Yeah, yeah. I'll walk with you." Feet slowly carried him over to her as he moved the flight jacket from his shoulder. 'Go get checked out.' The voice rang out through his head. 'I'm fine," Evander said back to Bar, in his mind.

Eilonwy raised her brow, giving an unconvincing look. "Mhm, sure..I don't want to hear your name on death roll Evander" She could hear the grumble in her mind, Falkor was trying to get through yet she blocked him out further. "Yes, well..perhaps I should work on that.." The auburn haired woman muttered. She walked along beside Evander, though worry still etched into her expression. "Perhaps, I should be giving you lessons..that way you wouldn't be so badly beaten up" a slight smirk pulled on rose coloured lips, making sure he didn't faint on her.

"Luckily we don't have flight practise until the end of the day tomorrow.." she was unsure if he would even be able to stay on Bar in his state. "Imogen is right though..I don't exactly make friends easily, keep to myself" perhaps it was because she didn't know who she was..she could only remember so far into her past. 'Stop doubting yourself' Falkor spoke, 'I thought I blocked you out' a low chuckle grumbled 'obviously not hard enough..I chose you for a reason fiery one.. that won't go unnoted' Eilonwy however ignored him.

"If you won't go and get checked, would you at least sit and have dinner with me?" Eilonwy asked, she knew she had it on her own normally but she figured trying to make friends wasn't a bad shout. "And not a date, unless you want one?" Eilonwy teased lightly. Oh how she couldn't help herself.
