So he’ll do the work for him, leaning in and capturing his lips in a soft kiss. It only last a FEW SECONDS and Yamaguchi pulls away, smiling with a little more bashfulness and a light flush to his cheeks. A small silence falls between the two and Yamaguchi coughs a little to clear it, a little worried that the sudden action might have upset his friend.

he’s BURNING UP and even though he would rather it not show, there is no hiding the RED blossoming on pale cheeks. tsukishima does indeed tense at the act of affection ( he simply isn’t used to it. he might never become adjusted to it ) and simply looks off to the side. he is embarrassed but he did not mind at all what yamaguchi had done. so he merely starts on his way once more, ready to play some games ( and hoping the red would QUICKLY die out ).

❛❛ W-We are !! We are BEST FRIENDS, Tsukki !! It’s just ❜❜ Yamaguchi bites into his bottom lip. HARD ; the skin reddening under the pressure of his teeth. One of his hands moves to cover the mark on his hip, already masked by his clothing. Fear is what he feels Unsure of how Tsukki would REACT to the unmistakable pattern on his skin, one that resembles his own as if they were imprinted by the SAME instrument. The mark itself had only presented a few months ago, leading to his change in behavior. Moving to change in other rooms after practice, going home instead of staying the night like he does on the weekends.

And he’s AWARE that he wouldn’t have been able to keep the game up for long ; Tsukki’s too smart for that. Blinking back hot, angry tears, Yamaguchi rips the shirt from his pants, untucking it from his uniform as he pulls it up rather VIOLENTLY to present the marking to him.

Yamaguchi almost takes a step BACK, surprised by Tsukki’s sudden ( and uncharacteristic ) close proximity. But He holds his position, keeping EYE CONTACT as he continues to smile triumphantly as if he’s sure he’s going to be the VICTOR in this little competition. Although his resolve does WEAKEN a bit when his first name is spoken… And it sounds so different coming from Tsukki.

tsukishima stays quiet for a while, simply staring at yamaguchi as if waiting for the other to do something. he is not one for such CLOSE CONTACT ( not a fan of having people so close in his face, so in his personal zone. it was too close, far too close for comfort ) but it’s more tolerable when it’s yamaguchi. whatever NERVE he had gained was dimishing with the realization of how stupid ( and embarrassing ) this was.
