i wouldn’t rule it out honestly? the crewniverse are Fckin nerds honestly and they’re always cramming anime references into su at least. i think rebecca sugar said smth before like “if it looks like it could be an anime reference, it’s an anime reference”. these people don’t have standards!!!!!!! plus camp pining hearts has only been mentioned in hilary florido/lauren zuke episodes so far. i know lauren zuke at least has put homestuck references in su so i wouldn’t be THAT surprised if she put in references to other pieces of garbage like td :’)

idk like. if it’s intentional or not it’s still Hilarious drawing parallels between camp pining hearts and td, like td is such an obscure thing to parody??? and in something like su????? even if it’s just a series of coincidences that all the camp pining hearts talk sounds like td, that’s still SO FUNNY!! it’s so funny i love it

True, but Camp Pining Hearts feels more of a reference to cheesy romance dramas from a long time ago. TD is more of a reality show parody and doesn't really have that feel. I kinda feel they're two different references.
