[ROOMMATES]
It was a bright day in Toffee Town, just before noon sets in. The skies were bright blue, with birds singing harmonious, as expected from a town still largely inhabited by forests. Agnus was completely satisfied from getting some free hot chocolate from Teadoir, his roommate, after their little bicker over the top bunk.
The hot chocolate was definitely worth it, especially when it was for free. After their little morning tea, they began to head back to the inn, and to their room. Agnus thought that since he was finally allocated the bottom bunk (through a lot of complications), he should start unpacking his backpack.
It was a good thing the older lad seemed to be okay with the matter about the bunk after all. Well, after he went on treating him something to drink in the morning. It kind of felt like he lost even though heâs the one whoâve just won their match. At the least of things it was just a drink, he hasnât even had much money in the first place. If he had to treat him some food heâll go with empty pockets, judging from how the other lad had ate last time. He checked his wallet if he still have enough for a week.
Getting much nearer at their door, he smiled to himself as he is going to be getting what he was waiting for, the thing he wanted after hours long, the top bunk in their room. Though before he could step forward to grab hold of the doorknob, he spotted spot two unfamiliar figures heading their way?
"Hm?"
With a full stomach came food coma, and Seifer was doing his very best not to fall asleep on the spot (again). Admittedly, Tobiâs mushroom curry had been a bit unorthodox, but it was actually quite delicious in anâŚexotic way. The blond took a lot of creative liberties with food, which he thought was probably expected of all culinary artists from faraway lands. After all that excitement in the bistro (and waking up to Elliot saying frighteningly ominous things), needless to say, he was feeling pretty bushed.
Still, there were a lot of things he needed to do before his body forced him to nap, and one of those things was unpack. And greet their other roommates properly, of course. First impressions were very important!
âAre you going to unpack too, Tobi? I wonder if the others areâŚâ He trailed off when he saw two other men approaching the same room, blinking in faint recognition. Earlier in the day, heâd dropped his baggage off in the room and found the two arguing, to which he promptly fled the scene in favor of getting food. It didnât look like they were arguing anymore, which was great.
âGood afternoon. You must be our new roommates.â He said with a smile, extending a hand.
"Not a problem," Tobi replied as he walked up to their room with Seifer. Though, in his head, he was kind of concerned..this guy could fall asleep anywhere? He was lucky the innkeeper had a way of dealing with the situation this time, but that seemed rather..dangerous! He hoped this sleepy dude would stay in townâŚ
"I should, yeahâŚ" he replied, wondering the same himself. But lo and behold, there they were! Presumably having left the room for whatever reason too, now the group had arrived in front of the door at the same timeâŚ
Since Seifer already made the friendly gesture, Tobi simply waved his own simple greeting. Thereâd be a lot more time to talk later anyways.
He was curious, however⌠Three people who were all humans, huh? The blonde wondered if it would really be okay⌠Everyone who heâd met so far hadnât been too uncomfortable. Ears twitching a little nervously, he decided not to be awkward and just see how the situation went first. Best pretend he didnât see that earlier scuffle too!
"Heading to unpack as well?"
He stared blankly at the two men in front of him, tilting his head a bit. But judging from their gesture⌠they seem really friendly!! It was rare to see someone immediately greeting the other party just from bumping into each other. But, being the dense individual, he failed to notice the hybridâs twitching ears, or even bothered to reach out to shake the redheadâs hands.
He shouted quite loudly, still quite confused about the twoâs over-friendliness. Looks like this fellow here is oblivious to the fact that he had more roommates than just Tea.
Teadoir paused momentarily as he eyed his other roommates...roommates... wait..
Now that he has seen that they have two more roomies, he realized that there were actually two bunk beds in there. It was an embarrassment that he didn't even notice that in the first place. And the thing about taking place in the bunk bed might have been much easier if he asked them? Assuming that everyone else in the room wouldn't be like Agnus... That is kinda creepy. No offense Agnus. And this thinking had passed for only a second.
He unconsciously made some kind of a displeased look while he thought of it for a second.
Immediately he noticed his unpleasant expression and changed his face to make a somehow welcoming approach, shaking the redhead's hand and smiling at them both and nudging Agnus to shake his hands too."I'm Teadoir! And...this is Agnus. It's very nice to meet both of you!" He stared at the hybrid seemingly wanting to know his name too, but let's do that later.
The lad glanced again on the hybrid lad and then took notice of his twitching ears.
"Ah, yeah we're about to unpack. You guys too, right? We got caught up with some slight detour... and we got it solved, somehow." He scratched the back of his head nervously.
