I’m really glad you understand; that’s exactly it, and I hope when she gets older, she’ll realize that’s the case. Oh, okay, I misunderstood… I didn’t realize that you had given her up for adoption. We really are quite alike - aren’t we. So you definitely know how it feels; probably even more so, considering you see her, and are close with Dave. You’re so welcome. Anytime you ever want to talk, let me know.
I’m sure she will, Quinn. You gave her a great life and she’ll be grateful that you were strong enough to do that for her. I suppose we are. I--yeah, I do, I’m sorry, I just haven’t really spoken about it since she’s been born. Thank you, Quinn. You’re a good friend to have.
miketakesmanhattan:
You’re welcome Bekah, aw that’s great news then. Are the kids getting excited with Santa and Christmas just around the corner now?
They were very excited! Christmas, and Stella’s birthday, were a big celebration for them. Best time of the year for everyone.
quinninscreamingcolor:
I think so too, but thank you Bekah, for saying that. Sometimes I worry that maybe I didn’t, or that she might thing I gave her away because I didn’t love her, but that wasn’t it at all. Well, I mean, that’s wonderful and all, but is it that fair to shut you out of her relationship? I mean, unless that’s something you want? You’re welcome though, of course. Well, coming from an outsider it seems to me that you are, and I imagine your kiddos do feel like it too. That will carry on with them as they grow. You’re welcome, and I’m glad, because I really do.
Of course. She’ll know you gave her away because you loved her so much and that’s just the truth; you loved her enough to recognize what she needed. What you both needed. I--I see her, I do. Brittany’s her godmother and all the kids love her to death and see her as their cousin so I see her. I spent a lot of my pregnancy knowing I was going to give up for adoption and doing my best to just--preparing myself for what was going to happen. I just know that I’m not her mom, I’m her birth mother, sure but I’m not her mama. Dave is her dad and that’s all she needs. It means a lot to me, thank you.

Thank you!
A baby is always exciting and it’s your first! You must be so happy right now. How is everyone?
comewhatrach:
That’s…really good to hear. It’s reassuring to hear that actually. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind, in case I do need anything. Because I don’t even know where to begin with how I’m feeling now.
Glad I could help reassure. Okay, great I know you already have your parents and Cooper and Kurt and so on but I’m still here. Talking usually helps; start talking and kind of let what you’re feeling take lead from there and just--I just find it helps to start sorting everything out.
jamescohenchang:
That’d be really nice, actually, if it’s not too much trouble, anyways, thank you.
Yeah, no problem! Glad I can help, I know that being sick sucks especially when you have a taxing job.
soo now, after everything, you still arent going to admit nothing?? you cannot be this blind at this point like you two combined have four kids together and all of this still happened???
Yeah. I got it. Thanks. Now please leave me alone.
comewhatrach:
Just…the babies are who need our focus now. We need to make sure they’re happy and healthy as far as I’m concerned. I’m still pregnant as ever, wondering when the little one is finally going to be born, but things are fine, yeah. Totally fine.
As far as I’m concerned, as well. They are top priority no matter what else is going on, they come first and that’s not going to change. That’s good. I know that the last few weeks of a pregnancy are pretty uncomfortable so I hope your little one comes soon and..I know you’re in Ohio and I’m in New York but if you ever need anything, I would still like to help as much as I can from here.
comewhatrach:
I can’t take away anything that has been said, or how you may feel about anything taking place, but know this, you’re not a replacement. You’re with Brittany, she’s happy with you, that’s what you should be focusing on.
Thank you, Rachel. I, um, I mean it’s comforting to hear and right now but all I can, or want to, really focus on is the babies and just being here with them. I think that helps the best right now. How is your baby, by the way? Everything still okay?
comewhatrach replied to your post:so are you finally grasping how you're a second...
Please don’t pay these clueless anonymous people any mind, they /think/ they know our lives, but it’s a matter of fact that they don’t know anything.
I know, I know and I tell myself that but its just--I don’t know. It’s a little much to hear that so often..to hear that I’m just a ‘replacement’ or a ‘second choice’.
Kinda wanna go to sleep, kinda wanna keep watching Netflix but definitely don’t want to move the sleeping baby boy on top of me who decided to join me on the couch. It’s too early to be this conflicted.
miketakesmanhattan:
Oh no, that’s horrible, I’m sorry Bekah! You’re right though, that is all that matters. I’m glad she’s doing better now.
Thank you, Mike. She’s tough so she just bounced back pretty quickly and she’s just--she’s good.
so are you finally grasping how you're a second choice, yet??? it feels like you should've definitely gotten it by now with how much Brittany cares that Rachel's moved on. You're a second choice and if she could, Brittany would take Rachel back in a second. You've gotten that by now, right??
yeah, okay, thanks. I got it. Is that what you wanted to hear? Can you leave this alone now?

Bundled up on this chilly Friday morning with her favorite blanket and toy in her mamas’ bed. She’s a happy baby.
I woke up today with a bit of a fever. (Or something closer to 102…) If anyone needs me, I’ll be in a blanket burrito, hopefully sleeping until tomorrow.
Oh, I hope you feel better soon! I took the day off of work and my fiancee can make a pretty mean bowl of soup, if you feel up for something to eat, I can drop it off.
quinninscreamingcolor:
Thank you so much. I do think you’re right. There’s times that I wonder what if… but I don’t think she’d have as good of a life if I had kept her. Oh, I suppose I missed it then– really? I actually had no idea at all. Do you want to talk about it? Well I’m always happy to lend an ear. I couldn’t agree more. You’re welcome; from what I can tell, that’s not true at all. You do stay busy, but you seem to be a very good mother in my opinion.
No problem. It’s natural to wonder what would have happened had you kept her, to wonder what life would’ve been for you both but, at the end of the day, it’s just matters that you know you made the right choice. For you both. Yes, yes, she’s--um, mine. I don’t know if there is anything to say about it; she’s happy with Dave, she’s loved and safe and with someone who can take care of her and that’s all that matters. Thank you for the offer, though. I just hope I’m doing right by my babies and that, when they get older, they do think I was, at least, a decent mom but thanks for saying that. Having somebody else think I’m doing a good job, helps.
