Rhaenyra and Alicent will never forgive each other. But, as I've already said, they're spreading the seeds for each other to be the only thing they've left.
Looking at Alicent's side. She thinks she's killed Aemond and doesn't know Aegon is back yet. Unless Vhagar shows up before she reaches King's Landing and they encounter someone telling them Aegon is alive, she likely won't know until she's back. And she sure won’t be able to get rid of Rhaenyra's men on her own. Once she knows they're alive, rather Aemond snitch or not, in her head, she's gonna think she's been exposed as a traitor.
Ormund is dead, which means Gwayne will replace him, so the Hightower army is gonna move differently. He might bend the knee for Aegon again (he's planning to go to Tumbleton after all).
What I'm saying is that, even though she's gonna resent Rhaenyra to no end for Helaena, Alicent cannot seriously consider to join back the Greens.
Looking at Rhaenyra's side. She's making enemies after enemies. Mysaria has turned on her. Manderly and Orwyle are realizing they might not want to follow her no longer. The Sept won't let the High Septon execution and I think it might be what lead the smallfolks to the dragon pitt riot. She's lost Ulf and Hugh's loyalty. Daemon is gonna die, Joffrey is gonna die, Adam is gonna die. She will be alone and desperate.
Do you see where I'm going? They will both have to flee. The choices are limited. They either stay there and destroy each other until the consequences of their actions backfires before they're done. Or they run away together and try to survive.
With how things are going, I slightly doubt Rhaenyra will be reunited with her son Aegon. Someone will have to watch her die, even if history says he was the one there.
It will circle back to the beggining where Rhaenyra wanted to take Alicent out of the Red Keep. It will circle back to the whole point of the show: Rhaenyra and Alicent are always drawn back to one another.
And this time, it won't be because they want to, or they hope to save their relationship. It's because it's their fate, their love is their doom and curse.
It's always been Rhaenyra and Alicent, it will always be Rhaenyra and Alicent.
