“Finally!” Sana’s arms throw upwards in the air, letting out a relieved sigh. “Someone who understands.. I mean, right? I’ve been saying that to everyone, but a lot of people seem to like to take on the role of the Grinch lately.. I don’t know why.” Her shoulders roll into a quick shrug, pouting as her lower lip juts out momentarily. “In that case, and even though Christmas isjust four days away.. Do you want to do something that’s in line with the holiday spirit? I mean, it’s my day off and I do want to make the most out of it.. So, you in or what?”

“Christmas is the best time of the year! I always find myself at my happiest during the month of December.” A bring smile lined her features as she spoke to Sana. While the JYP idol was a couple years younger than her, Taeha felt comfortable around her. She nodded happily, playfully nudging the other’s shoulder. “Of course I’m in! We should go shopping or something. Buy gifts for our group members.

With a whine she tried to wrap her arms around their leader once again, though she was only met with resistance. “It was my best joke yet!” Yujeong tried bargaining, jutting out her bottom lip for enhanced effect of her status of being the youngest member. Only met with more resistance, she let out a sigh of defeat. “What about this one?” She started, donning a playful expression. “What is the best day to go to the beach?” Waiting for the older to answer she leaned forward a bit, curious to see if the other would know. Not wanting to have Taeha wait for too long, though, she blurted out the answer in English. “A Sunday!” 

“Your best joke yet was probably your birth.” Taeha playfully wrinkled her nose at the maknae, quickly shaking her head as she began to tell another joke, one that she knew would be, lame, for lack of a better word. “Please stop while you’re ahead, Yujeong.” But, of course, her words were a lost cause. She folded her arms over her chest as the next joke was being told. She stayed quiet during her time to ‘guess’ what the answer would be, raising her eyebrows when the punchline was delivered in English. “What? What is a ‘shun-dai? Your jokes are less funny when I can’t understand them.”

🍓  First impressions were never really Taeha’s things. She often found herself cracking some sort of awkward joke in an attempt to ‘break the ice’, or found herself at a loss of word. Today, it was the second. She had slammed into someone while turning a corner, and stood silent and frozen in front of the stranger. She could feel her cheeks flush a dark red as a joke was cracked by the other, a nervous giggle passing the idol’s lips. “I’m.... So sorry. Should we do it again?”

It was quite cold, and the leader had been holding the other for warmth. She stepped away when Gowoon made a joke, shaking her head. “Get better jokes and I’ll consider it, yeah?”
