Yeah -- just staying calm and cruising. If it’s big, it helps me get an understanding of what I’m getting into (I tend to forget). Rode a couple REALLY long waves too far and ended up in a bad spot once or twice. But live and learn. Cheers!

What more can be discussed? Is there a time when you just can't look at any more barrel shots? Can you discuss the minutia and have it make sense? I love bodysurfing but I've recently discovered an important thing about myself, I'm passionate not obsessed. The obsession (I'm not saying it's a bad thing) that some have shown is admirable, but it's not me.

Do you look at 2 footers that are hollow and want to jump in? You're obsessed. Is every wave clearly a close out but you could easily make it on a surfboard but you still bodysurf? You're obsessed. Do you have discussions about fin choice and their hydrodynamics and thrust, hand planes and their surface resistance, the best bodysurfing wave in the world...weekly? You're obsessed. Are you seeing waves when you close your eyes to rest? You're obsessed. Are you imaging new tricks and if they're possible? You're obsessed.

I'm overwhelmingly happy with where I'm at but there's a small part of me that wants to be 21 and obsessed again.
