Buster gained a new accessory! He was given it as a gift from the Ruler and he will wear it with honor.

Old Man Marinus says. “Can’t catch a fish with out a rod or a net. So it is with life as well.”

Kapono has decided to pay Chef a visit, and offer his services as a waiter for tonight’s dinner rush. The restaurant always seems so busy, yet there aren’t any wait staff. 

Bisby looks off into the abyss while contemplating the latest test results from his research. Tyra and DUCK talk about how somethings are referred as other things but not the other way around. Like, bees can mean wasps but if you specify wasps, we know you don’t mean bees. 

Ludolf has found Toren and is getting the latest gossip on Lyna and Suchef. 

Lyna and Suchef seem to be hitting it off really well recently. Do we hear the distant echos of the church bell? No, that’s ridiculous, this town doesn’t have a church. 

Bill has decided to call for the expert on plants in town. Treeker has happily come by to see what the problem is. Initial guess is the something wrong with the water retention in the soil. We’ll have to wait and see if he comes up with anything else. 

Bill hopes he can have his favorite hiding spot back, otherwise he might have to switch to Evergrow Forest.

Bisby and Treeker are in an intense conversation about the similarities between their different research areas. Tyra is talking to DUCK 2000 about the trolly problem while they supervise Bisby’s and Treeker’s discussion. Last time they had a discussion like this, they started throwing lab equipment around and started the Great Lab Fire of 2018. They’ve had a lab fire every year at some point or another.

Lyna is flirting with Suchef who is quite keen to hear what Lyna thinks she knows about fish. Chef is in the kitchen getting ready for the dinner rush.

Toren is skulking around the edge of Evergrow Forest. He’s up to no good, but what that is exactly is hard to say sometimes.

Kian is “flying” high above the Evergrow Forest and is having a great time over looking the realm.

Bill is starting to get concerned about the state of the Heart Woods. He may need to call in for back up!

Toren

The shadiest duck in town. Sells contraband like voiceboxes, pins, and acetone. He is pretty sneaky and is often employed by Ludolf McDevil to get the scoop on stories.

Kapono aka Kap

He works for Ludolf McDevil at the newspaper. He’s responsible for the advert section and the puzzle for the day. Adverts aren’t that common so normally he’ll just fill it with reminders for everyone to recycle and not to litter. Most ducks who talk to him leave the conversation feeling good about themselves and thinking “That’s a good duck”

Ludolf McDevil (mic-Deeevil) 

This is the owner of the only newspaper in town, the Trosot News. He’s not the most creative when it comes to naming things but can sniff out a story faster than a dog can find a bone. His stories usually end up bringing some trouble to whoever they are about but it’s such a small town everyone knows the news by the time he prints it. So, people normally just buy the paper for the crossword puzzle.

Old Man Marinus

He spends his time fishing all day and is the only supply of food for the town. Since he has so much time to think everyday, he gives some pretty profound advice every now and again. He’s also a sailor so be prepared for some choice curse words to slip out.

Bill a.k.a. Teeny Tiny Military

Bill spends most of his day creeping around the Heart Woods. The woods are a little sparse nowadays but he still has his favorite hiding spot. His job is to make sure any oncoming threats are nullified and the Ruler is notified. To be fair, he has never lost a battle, but then again, there has never been a battle at TROSOT.

 When he’s not in the woods, he makes his way down to the Quacktime Diner and hangs out at the bar with who ever will sit with him.

Bisby, D.U.C.K. 2000 & Treeker

Bisby and Treeker are MAD scientists with little to no moral limitations... That’s why they made D.U.C.K. 2000 (yes this is the 2000th iteration of D.U.C.K.) D.U.C.K. is responsible for keeping these scientists in check and making sure they don’t destroy the world. He’s getting pretty tired of it.

Bisby is helping the Red Orb by researching some stuff. We don’t know what’s being researched, that’s why it’s being researched. Before he went mad, he was an accountant. 

Treeker has been a mad scientist since the day he was born. Right now he’s researching the strange happenings around the Evergrow Forest.

Kian (kee-an)

Pilot duck! doesn’t have a physical plane, but is really good at mountain climbing to be up high and pretend to be flying. Maybe the Ruler would be so kind as to get him one someday. That would be helpful if *something* were to happen and the town would just *happen* to need a plane....

Lyna and Tyra

Lyna wears pink on Wednesdays. Lyna wears pink every day. Her hobbies include talking to her twin sister, Tyra, and eating food at the Quacktime Diner to flirt with Suchef. 

Tyra wears the orange flowers. She’d rather wear red but her mom said that red isn’t her color, so orange is the next best thing. She is facinated by technology, and the only grounded tech in the area is D.U.C.K. 2000. So she spend most of her time hanging out in the Lab.

Chef & Suchef

Those are their names and their professions. They are great at cooking fish, but don’t ask them for anything else. We are very passionate about the culinary arts here in the Realm of Odd but Significant Office Toys (ROSOT).

They both own the Quacktime Diner where 95% of the town comes to every single day.

Meeky and Mirka

They are incredibly well dressed for living in the Evergrow Forest as Prophets and Oracles. They are good at predicting the future but they’ll only tell you what you need to hear.

Rumor is that one of them always lies, but no one knows which one is which and we’ve known them for long enough that it would be awkward to ask.

Brilliant Spinner

The newest member to the council, and she is eager to please her peers. She has some good points but is really too boisterous for all the older toys. She tends to hang out with Buster more than anyone else.

Garden of Zen

Has been around longer than the Red Orb and the Iron Dragon. Known for waiting until the right moment and keeping peace, but also mysterious in their ways.

Iron Dragon

Majestic and ancient, and known for talking in riddles. Knows Red Orb personally, and they often will go out for lunch. They sit outside and Iron like to get the fish. Red is content to sit and soak in the weather while Iron eats. Iron doesn’t mind rain or snow so it works out well.
