A/N: Hey! I´m so sorry it´s been so long since I last updated, but I´ve been lacking inspiration with this story; I´m sort of in a rut but I´m trying to figure out things little by little. I hope to be able to update sooner for the following chapters since I really like this story. All in all, enjoy your read!

Monday rolled by and, once again, you had to pretend everything was fine; that being with Jimin was fine, when it really was the most torturous way of pretending. He would smile at you, and you would reciprocate it. He would be kind to you, and you would be kinder. He would tell his friends you were his girlfriend, and you would prove to them that you were. That’s the reason that when the professor told the class you had to do a project in pairs, you asked Taehyung to be your partner. He didn’t think much of it before accepting your request, making it all easier for you. Exchanging phone numbers, you set it in. What you didn’t expect was Taehyung wanting to treat you to some coffee. You agreed right away with just one purpose in mind, get him closer. You two shared some casual conversation as he guided you to his favorite café. Being so wrapped in conversation, you didn’t realize Taehyung’s favorite café was Jin’s favorite as well. Stopping in your tracks, you tried peeking inside the café from outside the window to see if your best friend could be spotted.
“You coming?” Taehyung shot you a curious look as he opened the door.
Finding no escape of the situation, you gulped and nodded before making your way past Taehyung, who was holding the door for you.
Looking around frantically, you realized to your luck that Jin was nowhere to be seen. You couldn’t deny you felt bad for hiding this from him, but you knew he would stop you from going any further if he were to find out. And the truth was that you didn’t want to be stopped.
Taehyung and you sat down at the booth around the corner. “So, what should we order?” he spared you a glance as he surveyed the menu with an interested look.
You didn’t open the menu as you robotically said, “a cup of coffee will be fine.”
At that, he spared you another glance, a longer one this time. “You are joking, right?” a pause, then “This is by far the best café in miles and you’ll only order a cup of coffee?”
You hadn’t had lunch this afternoon, as your nerves were consuming you more than hunger, yet you knew if you allowed to let them take over you, you were in danger of falling back again in the same routine you followed in high school.
“Umm,” you considered as you spared another glance at the card before deciding on a small avocado sandwich. “The avocado sandwich sounds good,” you contemplated out loud. Feeling Taehyung’s stare on you once again, you looked up.
“Really? That’s rather odd,” he said as he nodded to himself as he considered your decision.
You couldn’t stop yourself from asking, “what is?”
At that, he turned the card in his hand to show you all the dishes the café served. “From all of this,” he motioned his hand over the card, “you felt tempted to order the avocado sandwich?” It seemed as if your choice didn’t make sense to him. “You really are something,” he added at last.
You felt his comment as an attack, but instead of figuring out something witty to say in return, you let part of your façade fall off. “You have no idea,” you said, a smile splattered on your face.
He laughed at that without really understanding the meaning behind your words. Then, he called the waitress to order. After the waitress left your table, it seemed that Taehyung’s main goal was to discuss the upcoming project.
“So…” Taehyung stretched the word to snap you out of your reverie, “what do you think we should do for the project?” Even though it seemed as casual conversation, you could tell he was really looking forward to this project by how he asked, as if expecting you would let him share his ideas. “Um, I’m not really sure,” you considered, “the main topic is culture, right?”
At that Taehyung nodded several times, probably restraining himself from spitting his ideas before you had a chance to share yours. If this boy didn’t grow far away from the child you remember, then you assume he would want to focus on art. You decided to take a shot in your assumption, “What do you think about focusing on how culture can be portrayed through art?”
His eyes immediately went wide at your suggestion, and you hid a smile at knowing you hit the nail. “I was thinking exactly the same thing!” he declared, “We can actually find lots of national artists that portray history through their art,” he said over the food the waitress was now serving. You nodded your head, encouragingly, “I agree. We can analyze so much from them!”
“Yesss! We can go to the National Museum downtown or even to the new art gallery that was opened around the street! I’ve been there, and they have some amazing works!” His eyes sparkled as he spoke. You nodded before sipping from your coffee to hide the small smile that creeped in your face. It seems he hasn’t changed at all. For some reason that brought you some sense of comfort; knowing that he still had that innocence in him, that even though he proved to be a pushover, his spirit wasn’t so easily bent.
While you were consumed by your thoughts, Taehyung seemed to be rambling about different details that you could add to the project. After some minutes, you tried to focus on what he was saying, but your attention was again intercepted by a girl that approached your table in an instant.
You looked at her, curiously, yet her expression was a contrast to Taehyung’s calm face. She was the personification of anger, and soon your curiosity changed to apprehension at merely staring at her wait for Taehyung’s attention.
“Taehyung!” she said in a snappy yet controlled tone. It seemed that even though anger was consuming her, she wouldn’t humiliate herself in front of unknown customers.
Finally, Taehyung’s eyes landed on her. You would expect him to know what was going on with this girl, but it seemed he was as surprised by her interruption as you. “Clarisse, what are you doing here?” he asked truly surprised, not registering her evident discontent with him.
She didn’t wait a second to respond. “That’s the same thing I was going to ask you, along the question: Who is she?!” At that, she looked your way with a disgusted face. Unconsciously, you shrank into your seat, feeling self-conscious at her diminishment.
Taehyung followed her gaze, but it seemed that he didn’t follow the meaning behind her words. “What? What does she have to do with anything?” he asked, not following.
“UGH! You really disgust me, Kim Taehyung! Playing dumb in front of your next conquest? That’s what’s happening here?” she asked rhetorically before continuing her rant, “Did you really ditch me for this?” dismissively, she gestured your body from head to toes with one hand. Taehyung blinked twice before understanding where this was coming from. “Clarisse, that’s no-” Before he had time to finish his explanation, though, she aimed to take your cup of coffee. Reflexively, you grabbed the cup, probably foreshadowing her next action, yet that only made her madder. This time not at Taehyung, but at you, who she presumed had stolen her man and, now, her revenge. Since you didn’t expect her determination, she managed to pull the coffee cup out of your grasp before splashing its hot content on your light clothes. You stood up out of reflex, yet that didn’t stop the coffee from burning your skin. Taehyung’s calmness soon transformed into movement at seeing his ex doing something so low. Immediately, he grabbed her hand and turned her around to face him. You were too focused on avoiding your soaking clothes contacting any more skin to actually see what was happening between them, but it seemed that Taehyung’s words made her flee right after that. You only looked at him when he approached your side and asked you if you were okay. You nodded even if your skin hurted, “Yeah, but it’s burning,” you told him. Immediately, he ushered you to the bathroom. “Try taking it off, I’m going to bring something for you to change,” he left you at the bathroom door before rushing towards the table once again. Not wanting to feel the burning and sticky sensation of your clothes, you followed his command and took off your shirt. Fortunately, the coffee only managed to splash your shirt and some areas of your arms, so the damage wasn’t that bad. Trying to ease the hurting sensation in your arms, you tried applying some cold water to the burnt areas. It didn’t seem like something serious; with your roses cream at home it wouldn’t leave marks.
Someone knocked at the door, “Y/N, It’s Taehyung.” You opened the door slightly and peeked out. Taehyung had one hand covering his eyes while the other held a hoodie. You smiled faintly and took the hoodie while thanking him. Carefully with your sensitive arms, you rolled on the hoodie over your head until it landed safely over your body. You took your disposed shirt before exiting the bathroom.
Taehyung was waiting right outside yet, on seeing you, his face fell to the floor. “Thanks for the hoodie, Taehyung,” you said, really appreciating not having to walk home stinking like a coffee shop. He shook his head, “No, you shouldn’t be thanking me. This happened because of me…” he said, still looking at the floor out of shame. Some people would be mad at this happening to them, but for some reason, you weren’t angry, at least not at Taehyung.
“Taehyung, it’s not your fault. Who would’ve guessed what she would do? Everyone is responsible for their own actions, and in this situation, it was her own wrongdoing.” You moved closer to him to try to reassure him that you were okay. He shook his head once again, but this time raising his head to look at you. “No, it wasn’t just her. I made her react that way,” he exhaled. You listened to him, curiosity peeking in at the possibility of learning who Kim Taehyung really became. He scratched the back of his head helplessly before continuing, “She must’ve thought I cheated on her…” he pondered “even though we weren’t really together.”
A confused “Oh?” left you lips at his incomplete explanation. He didn’t register your curiosity, and simply continued his monologue. “I must’ve been clearer with her. We were just casual, you know?” At this, he looked at you for understanding (if that’s something you could ask for in his position). You nodded slowly to show him you were following him. “I mean, it’s normal she wanted to take it on me,” at least he acknowledged it, “but it seems that her anger got the best of her when you tried to stop her from hurting me.” At that last part, he looked at you with some sort of gratitude at your altruistic behavior.
You on the other hand, shrugged awkwardly, “I guess it was on instinct,” you dismissed it. But he looked like he didn’t want to take it for granted as he shook his head once again. “Thank you, really!” he was eager to let you know how thankful he was as he took one of your hand in his. You felt awkward at his sudden move but decided to let him finish. “If you act like that on instinct then I can’t imagine what a wonderful person you truly are,” he smiled kindly at you, and you returned it. He let you hand fall as he motioned for you to follow him back to the table to finish what remained of your meal. As you two walked the small distance between the bathroom and the booth, he whispered to you, “Jimin is a really lucky man,” before winking at you and changing your mood instantly.

“Hey,” Jimin greeted Y/N as he waited for her outside the campus entrance.
It seemed he took her by surprise, but soon enough she was smiling and waving at him. He couldn’t help but smile brightly at her cute mannerisms. She ran his way until she was on his range, allowing him to hug her from the waist and spin her in the air. Shrieking and laughing, she asked him to stop, and he knew it was worth it at seeing her being suddenly so aware of her surroundings in the blush coloring her cheeks. Playfully, she slapped his chest, and he noticed how long the sleeves of her hoodie were, making her look smaller and cuter. In fact, he now realized she was wearing a hoodie that looked exactly like the one he gave Taehyung for his 19th birthday. He looked at her curiously, wondering why she was wearing a man’s sweater. She seemed to have sensed his stare as she followed his eyes. Shifting from one foot to another, she declared, “It’s Taehyung’s.” At that, his interest peaked, “why are you wearing his hoodie?” He wasn’t jealous, but it seemed odd that Tae would lend his girlfriend his hoodie unless he might have figured she needed it. “Were you cold?” he continued, rubbing his hands over her arms at assuming that was the logical answer. Yet when she winced, it seemed the answer was another one.
“Are you okay?” his curiosity started edging worry. His arms fell from hers as he searched her eyes. She nodded with a swift smile, “Yeah…It’s just… some coffee spilled over my shirt, so Taehyung lent me his hoodie. It wasn’t major,” she dismissed the topic, “Let’s get going,” she took his hand and guided him to his parked car. Before she got in, though, he stopped her. “Are you really okay?” her reaction from before told him it wasn’t a simply coffee spill.
She exhaled, probably giving in to his insistence. “Well, the coffee burned me a little in my upper arms, but nothing a little cream can’t fix.” Now, he was more worried than curious. He looked at her arms as if he could see through the fabric of the hoodie, but she stopped his looking by kissing his cheek. “It’s nothing to worry about, really,” she reassured him, “besides this gives me a chance,” she said to herself but probably hoping he would hear.
“A chance?” he echoed her words.
She nodded, looking down at her feet while playing with the hem of the hoodie, “To act like a patient…Maybe later you could kiss it better?” At the last part, she looked at him bashfully.
A smile started spreading on his face at her request, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to deny it. He laughed before nodding, unable to control his reaction to her cuteness. Then, he made space for her to enter the passenger’s seat of his car.

“Taehyung has been telling me about this class you two share...” Jimin started some casual conversation as soon as they entered Y/N’s apartment.
She looked up from the kitchen counter where she was preparing some coffee. “Oh? He has?” she asked, prompting him to keep going.
Jimin took a seat in one of the stools across her before nodding his head. “Yeah, he seems excited about this class,” he crossed one leg over the other, “seeing how art is a main part of it,” a fond smile appeared on his face at thinking of his friend’s love for art.
Watching Y/N carefully, he could see a smile forming on her face too, which he found rather odd, considering she didn’t know Taehyung that much. That was until she said nonchalantly, “He seems to like art a lot. We even decided to focus our project on local artists.”
“Seems like something Tae would do,” Jimin laughed as he received his cup of coffee.
She took a sip before nodding, “I don’t know him that well, yet I could tell art is something he really enjoys.”
Jimin nodded in confirmation, yet he couldn’t help but ask, “How could you tell?”
“Hum?” she mumbled while taking another sip from her own cup.
“How could you tell he likes art?” Jimin wasn’t trying to enquire anything, really, yet by the change in demeanor in Y/N’s face, he could tell she was nervous about his questioning. She took some time before answering, probably considering his question.
“Well, last class the professor started talking about some famous Van Gogh’s pieces and Taehyung seemed really excited about it. That was the gist of it, basically.” She took another sip, avoiding his eyes.
He, too, took a sip. “Ahh yeah. Van Gogh is basically Taehyung’s hero. I can practically imagine his uncontrolled adoration at such a class.” Both shared a small laugh as an awkward beat passed by before Jimin commented something that’s being going on in his mind for a while, “You know,” she looked up, “it’s kind of unfair that you already met by best buddy and I haven’t had the chance to meet your friends.” He intended to say it cutely, seeing how he was pouting for her to get his request, yet at seeing her demeanor change, Jimin wondered if he was pressuring her too much already.
She took some time before she managed an answer, “Oh…but you already met Jungkook,” she commented, avoiding the gist of his request; he noticed. At the mention of Jungkook, Jimin felt somewhat jealous yet incredibly victorious at the same time. It seems the personal trainer shared a deeper relationship with her than what he had expected, yet his label didn’t seem to go beyond “a friend.”
Jimin decided that answer didn’t satisfy his curiosity to know her better. “We both know Jungkook doesn’t count. I already knew him before I met you,” he stated.
She sighed before making her mind, “Well, I have two other best friends… Perhaps someday I could introduce them to you,” she looked down at her hands. Once again, Jimin found her actions to be odd. Shouldn’t she be excited to let him in her life just as much as he felt about letting her discover everything about his? Perhaps that was just his way of thinking. Maybe she didn’t like mixing her friends with her boyfriend. Or perhaps she was embarrassed? But of whom? Of him or of her friends? Jimin, mentally, shook his head, letting all these thoughts go away. He was overthinking.
He smiled at her, “That would be lovely. I should introduce to you another friend of mine as well; he just came back from studying abroad.” Jimin felt pleased at seeing her relax. Maybe if he demonstrates how much he wants to share about himself to her, she would feel more comfortable of doing it as well.
Her interest on this new friend didn’t seem to go beyond polite conversation, yet Jimin didn’t mind telling her all about his friend, “Oh really? What was he studying, if you don’t mind me asking?”
He didn’t mind. “He was undertaking a Doctorate in Musical arts program, specialized in piano.”
Her eyebrows reached the sky just as her lips formed a ´wow,´ “That sounds so cool. Your friend must be a genius,” she commented truthfully.
He smiled at the term she used. If only she knew that’s the same way his friend liked to call himself, a genius. Jimin couldn’t deny he wasn’t, but he wasn’t keen to let his friend’s ego increase. Getting a doctorate in Musical arts was something but getting it at Julliard was another thing. His friend was a true genius and Jimin was lucky he could still call himself his friend. He had met so many fake people in his life, who simply liked him for his status and looks, but Yoongi made clear from day one he didn’t care about any of those things. In fact, he made sure Jimin understood he didn’t like him, but that didn’t stop Jimin from pursuing that friendship. Yoongi was the cool kind of guy, always minding his own business. That’s what attracted Jimin to him in the first place. He wasn’t like anyone he had met before, who were always asphyxiating him. Jimin smiled to himself, knowing that his long-missed friend was back by his side. A comfort he truly had missed. Just as Jimin’s memories of his time with Yoongi started to cloud his mind, Y/N seemed to remember something as she said, “Give me a sec” before retreating to her room. Soon after, she came by with a tube of what looked like a cream. “I better treat this before it gets ugly,” she said, alluding at her burnt skin. He then remembered the whole point of being there. As she struggled trying to take off the hoodie with care of it not making contact with her delicate skin, he approached her and helped her strip of it. Once he took it off, his breath was taken away. Somehow, he ended up being too close to her by trying to be careful of not hurting her, yet once he took a step backwards, he knew he now was witnessing the best piece of art he has ever seen. After taking the hoodie, some strands of hair had fallen messily over her face, making her look ethereal. His eyes run down her body and he now realized she had no shirt on. She was bare, only her white laced bra covered her from his now lustful eyes. He tried to stop himself by looking elsewhere as a deep blush started burning his face.
“What’s wro-?” out of his peripheral sight, Jimin could see her looking down before, “OH MY GOD!” her arms tried to cover her upper body.
Jimin could sense her embarrassment picking up, so he turned around, having his back facing her. “I won’t look,” he was quick to say, “you should…um”
“I’ll go put something on,” she quickly said before retreating to her room once again.
Jimin felt hot, and he wondered if the coffee he took was the cause of it. He walked to the kitchen sink and tried drinking some water to calm the thirst he was starting to feel. As he closed the tap, she walked to the living room once again with now a sleeveless shirt on. She tried to take the rose cream tube, but Jimin managed to take it first, “Let me,” he said lowly, before guiding her to seat in the stool next to him. She didn’t say anything in return and simply followed his orders. Carefully, he started spreading the cream on her upper arms, yet when she flinched, he ceased his movements.
“It’s okay,” she said, “It just stings a bit.” She looked at him from under her leashes, and he swore right then and there than he would do anything to protect this girl from getting hurt ever again. He had to blink hard to stop himself from kissing her right then and decided to use his lips for other purposes. As he was spreading more cream on her arms, he blew on it to sooth it even more. He was too focused on his task to see her, who was looking at him from above. That was until he stopped and stretched to his full size, and saw her watching his every move, as if she was trying to read him.
“It’s done,” he said while closing the cream tube. “Now, my patient, you need full rest and a dose of kisses each day,” he smiled goofily.
She remained stoic for a second and his smile almost slipped, yet she swiped into a sweet smile in the blink of an eye. “Oh well, doctor, who else can be the best for the job than you,” the sweetness only increased at her comment. Her hands found his as she brought him closer until he was between her dangling legs. Jimin didn’t need more words to act. He closed the gap between them as his lips sealed any more possible words from coming out of her mouth. The kiss was deep and sweet, as if he tried to tell her how he felt when he saw her moments ago looking so ethereal. One of his hands unhooked from hers as it moved to caress her neck and then her cheek. He always found intriguing how her skin felt so smooth under his touch, and it made him wonder if all her skin would feel as soft. Disconnecting from her lips, he decided to discover it little by little as he moved to her neck and then left shoulder, making his way down her arm with peppering kisses. Once he started reaching her hand, he lifted it to have better access to it. There he gave her a stronger kiss as a gentleman would give a lady in the nineteenth century while looking straight into her eyes. Her lips were parted and her eyes, utterly focused in his every action. Placing her left hand carefully on her lap, he took her other hand and started making his way upwards. If his senses weren’t tricking him, he could feel her hair lifting at the sensation of his lips contacting her skin. At some point, he could even hear a low moan leaving her sweet lips just before he sealed them once again. Even though, he had started this, she seemed to be taking control over him little by little, from the insistence of her lips to the way her legs started to move upwards his own until they were encircling him. The kiss was becoming deeper each second and the unyielding grip of her legs was inducing Jimin to lose control over himself. He felt his erection growing harder and harder and if she didn’t stop right now, he would take her to the couch and finish what she had started. The moment her fingers started playing with the hair at the base of his neck, he lost it. Lifting her from the stool, he walked backwards towards the nearest couch until the back of his knees felt the surface and he sat down. The moment he fell into the soft surface, she disconnected from him. He looked at her, wondering what was going through her head. She looked somewhat troubled, and even though he was hard as hell right now, he decided to stop. She probably wasn’t ready, and he had to make sure she knew he was okay with it. Placing a strand of hair behind her ear before caressing her cheek with his thumb, he smiled sweetly at her. “I think that dose was enough for today,” he said.
She searched his eyes before nodding her head. “I shall follow the doctor’s strict indications.”
His smile grew. “Then, my patient, I believe it’s time to rest.”
* - * - * - * - *
You woke up to the annoying sound of your doorbell. You hated it when people rang your doorbell. You would rather hear a knock on your door than that stupid sound that only earned you headaches. Looking downwards, you saw Jimin’s hands hugging your abdomen. Detaching yourself tenderly, you tried to make your way out of your room and towards your front door before the sound of the doorbell woke Jimin up. You didn’t think much of it; well not until you realized who was the one on the other side of the door.
“Hey, Y/N,” Jin made his way past you before you had the chance to stop him.
Panic started taking over you as you realized the situation you were currently in. Running behind Jin, you quickly thought of closing your bedroom door before he had the chance to peek in and see Jimin laying in your bed.
Turning around you found him looking weirdly at you from the couch. “What’s up with you?” he said curiously at your sudden action.
“What?” you said looking elsewhere but at him, acting distractedly.
He looked at you closely, “Oh,” he gasped, “Were you…” he implied, but since you didn’t get his inquiry you waited for him to finish. “I didn’t know you liked that kind of stuff, Y/N,” he smirked.
Slowly but surely, you understood he was probably implying you were watching porn. “THAT’S NOT IT!” you silently screamed, minding not waking Jimin up. “It's just my room’s really…messy,” you tried. He clearly wouldn’t buy it, but you had to try making an excuse at least.
He raised his eyebrows but didn’t ask further. His interest was piqued by a magazine lying on your tea table. Taking it, he absentmindedly started reading over it.
Was he going to stay? You needed to get him out before he and Jimin had a confusing encounter. You weren’t worried of Jimin meeting Jin but of Jin seeing Jimin here when he shouldn’t be near you at all. Thinking on what to do to solve this, you concluded you must tell Jin. Tell him about Jimin to avoid future complications if you two were to be spotted by him, and considering you promised Jimin you would introduce them soon.
“Um Jin?” you tried regaining his attention. He spared you a glance before focusing once again in the magazine, “Yeah?”
Fidgeting with your shirt, you said the four words that would gain you his full attention, “We need to talk.”
A/N: The tension is in the air!!! Will Jin encounter Jimin? Will Y/N tell Jin the truth?
See you next chapter ;)
