"Oh... Sorry, Pomni, I just..." Gangle glanced down, fidgeting a bit with her ribbon hands. "I guess I was just worrying too much. If I'm being a bother, I can go. But, um, if you do need anything, I'll be in the lobby." She felt a little bit awkward now, but she was hoping that Pomni didn't blame herself for what had happened to Jax.
"I'll have to remember that," Gangle answered, a little giggle slipping out of her despite the heat on her porcelain cheeks. Gosh, she hadn't thought that she could ever be that bold, but... Pomni seemed to like it, so maybe it was okay. She definitely wasn't anticipating that Pomni would turn the compliment around on her, though, and she could feel her face growing hotter at the sweet words.
But nothing could have truly prepared her for the kiss that was administered sweetly to her cheek. Pomni would certainly be able to feel how warm Gangle's mask had gotten through the brief contact, evidence that she had made the bundle of ribbons blush even without visual confirmation.
A little squeak slipped out of Gangle and it took her a moment to register that Pomni was gently tugging her along to the art store, but she followed nonetheless. It was hard to forget about the feeling of how soft Pomni's lips were against her cheek, but with herculean effort she finally managed to focus for long enough to find a blue, red, and yellow frame decorated with small stars.
"What do you think of this one, Pomni?" she asked, carefully holding the frame so she didn't drop it or damage it.

Hi. Just reminding the dash that it IS FUCKING WEIRD to write NSFW on your blog if you let minors follow you as an adult. Regardless if it's tagged, under read more, whatever. IF YOU HAVE MINORS FOLLOWING YOU. YOU NEED TO CURATE YOUR SPACE PROPERLY.
I cannot express ENOUGH how fucking deplorable that behavior is. If you knowingly have kids following you, why the fuck are you reposting NSFW and even writing it on your blog? You are EXPOSING MINORS to that content. There's no guarantee that child has those tags blocked. There's no guarantee that child doesn't just click past those blocked tags to look anyways. You are KNOWINGLY responsible for the possibility of those children coming across that content, even if you're not writing it specifically with them.
I know there's a post around a while ago that I reblogged that has the gist of what I said there too phrased a little more eloquent but this is the kind of shit that actually pisses me off. This is not something you want to play with. I don't fucking care if those minors you're interacting with already know what it is. We were all kids, we were exposed to it prematurely, the lot of us. But it is important as AN ADULT in a MAJORLY adult space, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE WRITING NSFW, to fucking block minors out of that space. Even move it to a seperate blog, I know a lot of people do that. But if you knowingly write that shit with minors following your blog, you are no better than someone seeking kids out to me. You are irresponsible and disgusting.
I shouldn't have to make this clear to adults of all people. This should be common sense. But if I see you doing this shit, with someone you're interacting with or otherwise, that earns a really quick hard block from me. I do not soft block people, there's a damn good reason for it.
I'm not mentioning names here because I don't fucking send people to witchhunt, I won't tell people to unfollow people either. But this kind of irresponsibility shows me that you are not worth my time. Sorry for the bluntness of this post but some of the people on this website really need to fucking learn how to interact with people online.

"Oh... Sorry, Pomni, I just..." Gangle glanced down, fidgeting a bit with her ribbon hands. "I guess I was just worrying too much. If I'm being a bother, I can go. But, um, if you do need anything, I'll be in the lobby." She felt a little bit awkward now, but she was hoping that Pomni didn't blame herself for what had happened to Jax.
"Oh, Pomni, I'm sure they're wonderful," Gangle answered reassuringly as she glanced down at the drawing that Pomni had done. For a moment she just gazed at it, her smile softening into something fond. "And it looks like I was right," she said at last, raising her head to meet Pomni's gaze once more. "You're really good at this." Even if Pomni was a beginner, there was no denying that Gangle could feel the emotion radiating from Pomni's artwork.
There was hope, yearning, and pain captured within that simple piece of paper, and she could tell that Pomni had put her entire heart into this. When the jester girl brought up the idea of Gangle teaching her how to draw and paint, she nodded. "I'd be happy to give you tips! You've got a good art style to work with, but there's never any harm in continuing to develop and refine it."
Art styles were prone to changing over time, and Gangle was hopeful that she would be able to help Pomni discover one she was content with.
The jester had to fight the huge desire to hide her round face in the sketchbook or her gloved hands or something at the compliment. Her heart hammered a mile per second, and she felt so warm inside she thought she was going to explode. "You-I- oh god, I am honored..." She smiled so brightly that her worries were forgotten for a second there. Since when has she become a crying baby? New tears were threatening to escape once more, and Pomni had to wipe them away before she alarmed Gangle again. "Wait, that'd be lovely. I can't wait to learn from the best artist in the world." She chuckled before placing her hands on the drawing, then tearing the page out of the sketchbook. "When we find my art style, we'll draw together until our fingers are numb," Pomni whispered, and she handed her drawing, thinking it was fair to gift it to Gangle in return as she had hers. "Here. For being here for me."
"I don't know if I'm the best, but I'm glad you think so highly of me," Gangle answered with a small smile. She hoped the tears Pomni was shedding this time were tears of happiness, and if she still had a heart in this body it would have no doubt skipped a beat when she saw that beautiful smile on Pomni's face.
She did giggle at Pomni's whispered comment as she accepted the drawing, glancing down at it. "Sorry to break it to you, Pomni, but between the two of us you're the only one with fingers," she said playfully, wiggling her ribbon hand. "I think you're the only one who's going to wind up with numb fingers."
Her expression then softened as she glanced down at the drawing. "I'll keep it safe," she added quietly. "Maybe a colorful frame that matches the colors of everyone in the picture... or perhaps just the colors of the wonderful artist who gave me this in the first place."
How right Gangle was, for these new tears are definitely of joy. Pomni felt giddy with excitement for having such adorable company as her. Gangle's smile was angelic, so pure, so bright, it made her cheeks flush a little. The jester swore on her life to protect that smile at all costs, now more than ever. Her pinwheel eyes sparkled at her friend's words, her playful behavior so refreshing. "Yeah, you're right. Oof, I better be careful then, huh?" Pomni chuckled as she scratched the back of her head, closing her eyes for a second before opening them just in time to see Gangle look at the drawing, and the jester's attention was on her own, tracing the beautiful image with her blue-gloved index finger. Her stare went right back to Gangle at those last words. Her legs felt exactly like jelly, and when she stood up, they buckled beneath her. "I- you flatter me. I'm not-so-wonderful, but... thank you. Maybe red and blue will look cool." Pomni held her new drawing and then offered Gangle a hand to help her stand up. "I want to choose a red frame then. Red and white, like you. I know it'll look so beautiful, so... Shall we go to Caine's new art supply store and choose them?" She said softly in return.
"Well... If your fingers do get numb, I could always try to..." Oh goodness, she was throwing herself into the deep end with this one. The real question was whether she'd be sinking to the bottom or able to swim her way out of it. "I could always try to kiss them better."
Was that too much? Too forward? Gangle wasn't exactly the type to go out of her way to flirt with anyone and she didn't even know if Pomni would like being flirted with. But she'd said the words outright and it was far too late to take them back now that she'd spoken them.
When Pomni's legs buckled, Gangle reached out to try to help her up. She couldn't exactly say how much help she would actually be considering she wasn't very strong by any stretch of the imagination, but Pomni might still be able to grab onto her and pull herself up.
"I think maybe you underestimate yourself, Pomni," she said softly, "because I think you're wonderful."
Once the jester girl was steady again, Gangle nodded at the suggestion of visiting the new art store. "That sounds nice." And any time with Pomni was just time well spent.
"I guess you must be a pretty hard person to forget," Gangle answered, attempting a smile. "Um, if you don't mind my asking... What do you remember?" Hopefully she wasn't prying too much by asking, but considering the circumstances they both had every right to be confused by the situation. Was Ribbit's door even still crossed out, or would it have disappeared with their return?
"I um .."
She looked down at her hands, her eyes flickering for a moment. "I don't .. Remember much .." Her vision dimmed as she tried to recall what happened before she apparently disappeared. "There ... Was a fight, I think ..? Was it me and Kaufmo ?" It felt just like jamming a puzzle piece into the wrong hole. But somehow it still fit ? What were they even arguing about that would push her to that ?? Maybe that was something she could just ask him.. "Oh heh .. uh .. Soo .. How's Kaufmo and umm .. Ragatha ?"
Oh... That's right, Ribbit didn't know. Gangle couldn't help but feel sympathy for the other, glancing down and fidgeting a bit nervously with her own ribbons. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "Kaufmo is... he's gone, too. He went not too long after you." She wasn't sure how Ribbit would react to the news, but she was here to offer comfort if they needed it. "Ragatha's still here. She's made friends with Pomni, who appeared while... while Kaufmo was..." She could feel her eyes welling up with tears. "I still miss him."

Hey, everyone! Shy here. I just want to say that people trying to justify the fact that they don't see trans men as men because they're AFAB and/or that they wouldn't sleep with them despite being attracted to men because they might not have the 'right parts' is in fact a transphobic statement and people who say otherwise are lying. Having "preferences" is just an excuse.
Anyone who disagrees can get the hell off my blog, because this is a safe space for all trans people no matter what you've got going on downstairs.
"And your words as well as your actions hurt, but you don't really care about how it makes me feel," Gangle mumbled in response. They immediately flinched away from him when he wrapped an arm around them, but being a bundle of ribbons doesn't exactly inspire much physical strength. "S-Stop." They didn't want him touching them. They didn't want to be anywhere near him. They never wanted to be paired up for this adventure. They didn't even care if he lost because of them.
"Just stop, Jax. I'm not going to go with you. I'm done with... with this. The adventure. You. Both."
They got up, but they didn't move towards him. Instead, they moved away from the purple rabbit back towards the burning city. Maybe they'd be able to find Zooble, Pomni, or even Ragatha. Any of them were much safer bets than Jax could ever be. Yes, it wouldn't take much effort on his part to yank them back and drag them along against their will... but they were trying not to think about that at the moment.
"Just leave me alone."
Because being alone is better than being stuck with you.
For a moment, the only thing the rabbit can do is stare in stunned disbelief as Gangle stands, the dejected slump of their posture still clear as day as they turn to head in the opposite direction. This is the first time they've ever stood up to him, at least in such a direct way, and while there isn't confidence radiating from them, their tone brooks no room for argument.
That doesn't mean he's just going to give up, however. "Oh come on! You're just gonna give up!?" His ears pin to the back of his head in annoyance, pupils narrowing into angry pinpricks, and he rolls his eyes as he strides catches up to them, his long legs giving him the advantage as he slips in front of them, blocking their path. "You'd really rather go out there and die than team up with me? We used to team up all the time!" Jax argues, and there's an undercurrent there. The unspoken; what happened to you being submissive and agreeable, heavy in his tone. "Tell you what-- I'll leave you alone all you want when we get back to the circus. 'Till then? You're stuck with me, Ribbons." He completes the statement with a casual, sweeping gesture towards his entire being. "So toughen up. Kay?"
It's not like the feeling isn't mutual. There's a slow, simmering rage building up inside of him, one designed to disguise the hurt that he refuses to allow himself to feel, but that's a problem to deal with later. He won't take it out on Gangle now, unless they give him a reason to.
"Because you forced me to," Gangle answered with a frown. "You never gave me any choice because it didn't matter to you as long as your favorite target was around for you to mess with, right?" They shook their head. "I'd rather be alone than paired with you. At least I wouldn't have to worry about protecting myself from someone who's supposed to be my teammate."
They continued walking towards the burning city, though the tension in their form was evident. They were on guard, knowing that Jax could make a move to hurt them at any time. Hopefully Jax would take the hint and leave them alone, but if he didn't... They hoped it wouldn't come to that, especially since they couldn't exactly fight back against him. They didn't like violence and they wouldn't use it against anyone, even if he hurt them. Even if he seriously injured them.
Either way, it was obvious that they didn't want anything to do with the purple rabbit that had been the cause of so much, if not all of the pain that they'd endured since they'd first gotten here. Whether they died or not, whether they managed to meet up with the rest of the circus members or not, they just... needed to be as far away from him as possible.

The words were soft, delivered in a voice barely any louder than a whisper, but felt like they carried all the weight of the years of bullying that Jax had put them through. Honestly, at this point Gangle felt like they would be safer alone than with Jax. Even with... even with the screaming, the fire, the destruction, and everything else that was going on around them.
They knew Jax would probably retaliate against them for their words. They knew how much he hated it when they tried to speak against him, to show even a smidge of confidence in themself. They knew that he would probably try to beat them down again, if not with his actions then with his words, so they would be 'submissive and agreeable.'
And they were tired of it. If only Zooble had wanted to go on this adventure with them, they would have stuck to their best friend like glue and let Jax be with whoever else... Maybe Pomni, since she seemed to be the only one who could tolerate Jax for any length of time.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, and it doesn't. What surprises him is that Gangle had the nerve to tell him that at all. Since when did she grow a backbone? Jax doesn't let the surprise show on his face, his features schooled into an impassive smile. None of them trust him, he knows that, but hearing it so plainly hit him the way a blind punch might have, for a reason he doesn't want to look too closely at. "Words hurt, Ribbons. And here I thought we were getting along soooooo well."
As if to emphasize his point, he sinks down to sit on his heels besides Gangle, wrapping an arm around the approximation of her shoulders. With a tug, he pulls her in against his side, a mockery of a gesture that could be considered friendly. "You and me, against the digital world. But nooo, you just had to go and shatter the illusion, huh?"
There was only so much he could do when he was relying on Gangle to get to the end of this stupid adventure, and he lets her go with a put upon sigh, standing back up to his full height. It's not because he might actually feel guilty if she just got herself killed to get away from him. Nope. "Get over it, saddy. I'm not losing this adventure because I got stuck with the lamest person in the group. Now get up, before I decide to use you like a trip rope. We have to move."
