look, i couldnt find a good title

you know how in dr darkners have coloured portraits and lightners have MONOCHROME portraits

what if the reasoning is that lightners are copies and darkners are gasters ocs

also, the original starwalker has a coloured name like he is absolutely new and original

if papyrus gets a "coloured" portrait this will simultaneously confirm this and is papyrus sans as papyrus will be the original

now, i am a fan of aus like trash heap and afac, so im not exactly saying this is the only answer, but i am saying a perhaps antifanart answer. im not gunna try and stop ut darkners in whatever sense

deltarune SOUL forms and muffets weird place in UNDERTALE

everyone says the pattern is red color red color red color red,

but i questioned a detail

in undertale the soul form order is blue green purple yellow

but the correct order is blue purple green yellow (as per the fallen human order)

think about this on your own if you rather or look behind the cut

so, what if ramb was supposed to be purple, but got delayed to a future chapter and replaced with the knight

my suggestion

Why is kris blue

i came across the concept of the soul protecting the lightner from how people see them in the dark world,

so

having a soul thats not, or at least not very your own would decrease the effectivity of this wouldnt it.

so

kris may be a half-darkner

ive seen a theory that at the end of deltarune, the roaring will come, breaking the barrier which blocks light from dark

my prediction is that at the end of the weird route, the vessel will cause the roaring,erasing the world, and letting you move on to another save file

leaving the neutral route of undertale where nothing happens but the little things from the middle of your journey, and frisk returns to the surface

i remember toby fox saying something along the lines of "theres only one ending, but the ending isnt whats important. its what you do along the way"

or in deltarune, the twistedsword route. in between the lines. the route where you got far enough into the weird route to get the thornring, but stop.

im pretty sure someone else came to a similar conclusion on youtube, but i never actually watched the video through(didnt care enough at the time), and dont know how to find it

but gersons whole thing is to teach poeple is to go in between the lines and rewrite the story that way

this in undertale is the ending where frisk nor chara claims control

so i think that the twistedsword route will just let the world live on unaffected while the other two routes destroy it

or maybe twistedsword route isnt different enough from the normal route to not end in the roaring

Chara Vessel

i know quite a few people think of the vessel as not having a counterpart in undertale, and im not entirely sure i believe this theory, but i have something here that i dont think should just stay hidden in my mind.

in undertale you choose "Chara"s name, kind of play as them, kind of as frisk

in deltarune you design and name the vessel, and play using their soul inside kris

so this says that chara and the vessel might be the same

jevil colors

look i want to talk about WHY IN THE WORLD IS JEVIL DREAM COLORED. right i need to explain "dream colored" for you... so when i visualize something in my head purple-green(albeit normaly for me purple is closer to the edges) blobs form overlaping with my vision. almost the exact same hue as jevil. i dont know if this is normal but i feel like this is important if jevil has these colors specificaly.

spamton. neo. has. these. colors. too. he has one purple-green wing and green strings.

susie is semi-regularly referenced as purple(despite looking pink to me), having the same purple on the edge of her jacket and gerson is so green

anyway please tell me if this is normal

also these colors are perseverance and kindness. dont think it mens anything

im proposing 2 options for why spamton speaks like that

spamton is mimicing tenna using hyperlinks to tennas screen for the image text, and thats why [hyperlink blocked]

2. all the things in brackets are more close to a profesional salesperson. if the spamsoul first appeared when he first talked to mike then the spamsoul would be a skilled salesman. so if spamton forced more control than the spamsoul(like kris can do sometimes) then these would be the spamsoul trying to regain control by transforming or blocking words

secret boss projections

this theory is made on hunches built into something usable so please understand that all evidence is hidden somewhere in my head i do not know how to put into words

each of these is based on a theory on who made the fountain

based on the theory that cyber world was made by kris because it has the same chaotic energy as tv world, spamton is absolutely kris projecting themselves onto him

tv world, definitely made by kris, has ramb who has no one caring for who they are, like kris who has their true self hidden behind the souls identity. he cannot become a true secret boss because he is from an old dark fountain and thus cannot be completely projected apon

ive seen a theory that the card kingdom is made by dess because of clovers(the clubs hydra, not ut yellow) room and them being clubs, so jevil being in a cage yet saying he is free is a bit alike to dess trapped in the code, yet her body as the knight can do anything it wishes without consequence

i dont remember the theory that convinced me of this, but i think alvin made the first dark world in chapter 4. gerson "self-insert" boom is a cryptic warnings, tell them that that is an option, holds back to an insane degree and is still amazingly strong kind of self insert remake of his mentor and idol

this all culminates in the idea that if in chapter five asgore made the dark fountain then we are likely dealing with a nostalgia or jealousy based secret boss. who knows, maybe its asgore himself

this sounds dumb. it still sounds dumb and im the one who made it. this is still a theory i genuinely believe(as of writing this) which is why this isnt on https://www.tumblr.com/teateaterribleutdrstuff.

anyway this all stems from sans being from deltarune and what happened to the original sans from undertale.

what first got me thinking about this possibility is watching funny bones. "you know, they just kind of... showed up one day and asserted themselves" i know this line is in the game i just first thought about it there. anyway, this says both sans and papyrus came together.

so papyrus is also from deltarune, right? but papyrus doesnt bleed, he dusts. a thing to note is his head survives after he is hit though, kind of like toriels soul

as for why the proposed timeline is what it is, a bunch of contradictions i found which i dont remember, sorry for being unhelpful

the proposed timeline and details:

*note that this uses gaster as the older brother in undertale and younger brother in deltarune

*i am also not sure when at least one of them changes font

gaster makes interdimentional travel machine(original purpose doesnt matter)

human pushes gaster in core, papyrus watching and thus getting anti human trauma,

papyrus manages to get machine to send him to deltarune after being unable to fend for himself

sans finds him and adopts him as his brother already knowing how to live

papyrus teaches sans magic

papyrus becomes more real to match the not as magic food

roaring happens and sans and papyrus make it to undertale

papyrus is real enough to have the same amount of determination as a boss monster and get deja vu(his head holds his soul while he dies)

sureley if your identityless then you would be curious, right? red souls are seen using determination to try again and see what happens. this is quite extreme curiosity i think.

i believe soul traits are types/frequencies of determination

okay these thing have always been a little weird to me. especially the consensus of red being determination. this implies that, because ALL humans have determination fairly plentifully*, that soul traits must be very good at coloring to get the blues and greens.

then deltarune comes and only has save points in dark worlds. worlds made of darkness. darkness which, as the antithesis of light, would also have a frequency. darkness which creates the titans with save points on their foreheads.

by this logic darkness is determination. and thus, determination has a frequency. and thus, soul traits can just be frequencies of determination. this leaves red open ended again but means not all humans have to have a lot of red in their souls.

*alphys isolated a lot of determination. enough for flowey to have resets and creating all the amalgamates all of which are multiple people melted.

controlination

the title isnt the clearest but the idea is simple. we the player play as directionless determination.

in undertale frisk and chara share a body. two beings with a lot of determination and conflicting moral compasses.

in deltarune we control noelle in the weird route by tearing away her sense of identity.

as for flowey they were just trying to feel. not exactly directionless. they had an identity

my currunt theory for why we control the soul in deltarune is it completely abandoned its identity in hopes of freeing kris and our control was the result.

my best guess for why noelle is controlled using the soul is the soul's voice. we hold no voice of our own so we substitute by linking the soul to noelle's mind.
