Hey guys, it’s me, Natasha.

I’m really sorry I haven’t been around much in the past few weeks. S.H.I.E.L.D. life has grown tougher and tougher, and I’ve still been recovering after some of the missions we’ve been on.

Hopefully, S.H.I.E.L.D. won’t send me on another mission for a while, but for now, I’m still here!

And, because I’m told you guys have questions for me, you can feel free to send them here. I’ll do the best I can to get to every single question. (And it’ll be a nice distraction from some of the S.H.I.E.L.D. paperwork I now get to fill out).

This is a bit of an out of character post, but this blog has been a bit inactive over the past two weeks. Normally, Natasha would explain what’s going on (and she will), but I just felt this would come better from the mods too.

One of the mods has had a really hard time with their mental health lately, and on top of that, we’ve both just been really busy! We promise we’re not ignoring you, and this blog will continue to remain as active as possible. (We’ll be working on some posts to queue up this week!) We apologize deeply for the inconvenience lately, and we hope to have you stick around!

In the meantime, feel free to send Natasha some questions, or even reblog some of her older posts with additions/more questions. She’ll answer them, we promise! (And if you want to see more posts, sending a question is a great way to ensure more posts get made too!)

What are some of your favourite pranks that you and Clint have pulled on the others?

The best prank is the one that no one can lead back to you. But I can certainly talk about things that have coincidentally happened while me and/or Clint might have been in the immediate area. But there’s no an ounce of proof that it was me or Clint that stole all of Steve’s underwear and hid it in Coulson’s office, or that it was us who stole the Director’s spare eye patch one time.

Although, there was that one time I pretended that Clint had died a horrible death by drowning in the milk of his cereal one early morning. He had overslept and was nursing a hangover, and I was doing him a favor by taking over the training of the newbie agents that day. The looks on the newbies when Clint walked in at the end of class looking like the Living Dead is one I will treasure forever.

You know, sometimes I wonder why Steve said video game night wasn’t a good idea, but then I remember that Thor’s chair somehow ended up being embedded in the TV, and...

Thanks, anon, for the first question on this blog. I don’t bite no matter what others may say. I had heard about Agent Carter during my training way back when, but those memories are foggy on the best of days. I met her shortly after I joined SHIELD, when the rumors circulated that the Black Widow had defected and joined SHIELD. She pulled me aside, and we had a very interesting chat. We used to occasionally meet up and talk about missions, the stupidity of men, and other nonsense.

She’s an incredible woman and an amazing agent, and I am proud to say I look up to her.

Here at the Tower, we have enough apple pie, cakes, and hot dogs for an entire week. And that’s a lot, since we have two super-soldiers on our team, a Hulk who loves to eat everything in sight (Bruce, not so much), an Asgardian God, and not to mention everyone else currently living here. Feeding our team for a week is almost completely unheard of.

Cap says Thank you for all of the birthday wishes, while we say thank you for the lovely food you all prepared for us (and a happy belated Fourth of July too, to those who celebrate).

Clint doesn’t think I can hear him squealing from his bedroom while he’s playing Overwatch. “I’m Widow!” he hums. Unbeknownst to him, I can see him bouncing around as Widowmaker, waving at every single person he sees, because I’m playing in the match with him “I’m Natasha! Look at me, guys! I’m the Black Wi-....er....Widowmaker!”

And he totally doesn’t squeal when he sees Hanzo. Totally.

I know from experience, the more cookies you leave, the better your presents are. Just make sure they are cooked properly. Barton got a picture of a sad eaglet after his three dozen cookies were (accidentally) charred and burned. But Barnes? Coulson? Those two prepare for this holiday like it’s the last Fourth of July they’ll ever see. They have all of their “decorations” up a month in advance. (Coulson though, has his up year-round. It helps to be a Cap fan.)

Okay, maybe Steve wasn’t the one that left Clint the picture of the sad eaglet....but just trust me when I say to make the whole box of cookies tonight.

Or better yet, scratch the cookies and make an entire apple pie. Steve loves his apple pie.
