Beer Review: William Sharvatt's London Velvet - bitter sweet beer from @London_Velvet When I picked this bottle up in Tesco my only criteria was it is brewed in London. I had just decided I wanted beers brewed in London. I then scrutinised the bottle at home, it's a porter ale blended with cider. Hmmmm. Problem. I do not like cider. Also who thought of this? Uni students? This was going to be disgusting. Well it wasn't. This very dark red drink has a coffee, malt aroma. It tastes a medium sweetness milk chocolate taste of the cider and the dry malty bitterness of the porter ale. It is not a bad drink but it is not my kind of drink. It's the cider. I just do not like cider. I see many others will enjoy it though. Will recommend it to my brother, he enjoys ciders and ales. Sharvatt’s London Velvet Porter/Cider Alc 5.0%

Next! It's Caesar Augustus a lager/IPA hybrid from William Brothers Brewery #beer #beerclub # Thin white head, pale golden. Grassy. Tastes slightly sweet then slight bitter at finish. Slight fizz.

Friday nite with Netflix & Pure UBU (OO BOO) #beer #ale #beerlover It is dark golden with a small off white head. (You can see that. Why am I describing?) Light and easy to drink with a fruity taste. Smooth and well balanced. with a slight bitter finish. Faint aroma. Really nice ale.
