When Holley came back to the table, Ziggy eyed the drink before taking a sip. He liked coffee decently enough. He wasn’t much of a fan of putting any sugar or milk in it. Sometimes he would do honey. 

“So, you don’t have to answer this, but I can’t help but notice that your cybernetic is fairly advanced. What type of work do you do?”

She watched cautiously as the man took the drink and sipped it.  A part of her worried that he wouldn’t like it even though it was just a regular cup of coffee.  But he seemed to accept it and Holley relaxed in relief.

“Oh, I work in the Core with the government.  Nothing super fancy.  Sometimes they require certain specifications in the cybernetics that the employees have but those are always, well, a little pricey,” she admitted with a small chuckle.  “What about you?  You seem quite knowledgeable about this stuff as well.”

“It’s true.” He said, admitting his own little faults. It was honestly more likely he meant something dirty than not. 

“Oh, really? Do you?” He chuckled, “Well go on, then, I’m listening.”

“Well now you’re just fishing for compliments,” Holley laughed, rolling he eyes at her friend.  “Finish your food so we can go back to work,” she scolded in a rather mom-like manner.  She didn’t do that often, but she knew that Donald sometimes let her get away with her maternal comments.

Della smirked, “oooh, is he now? Good for him! Gosh, I know we’re young, but sometimes I can’t wait to retire.” When the glasses rose, Della let out a wide grin, as did Donald. 

“To happy birthdays.” he said cheerily, clinking glasses, “Now remember kids, full eye contact or its bad sex for a year.”

Holley nodded, smiling as she thought of her wonderful uncle.  “Yea, but once he retires, I’m worried he’s just going to sit around the house tinkering with things that don’t need tinkering,” she chuckled.  “We have quite some time before retiring, but I agree.  Maybe it just means we need a vacation.”

“Donald!” Holley exclaimed, lightly smacking her friend before taking a sip of her glass.  “Always so inappropriate,” she chuckled with a shake of her head.

Della’s grin as her jaw lifted up with triumph was clear across her face, “See Don? Stop being a nag.” The male twin’s eyes rolled, and he let it drop with a wave of his hand, despite how much it irritated him. 

With that out of the way, Della’s bright face went back to Holley, “I don’t know. A little bit. I mean… Obviously I’ll head back to my abode, but I’ll drop in now and again. Why it’s important I know how you’re doing.” she teased, giving a poke of the blonde’s sides.

Though the subject of Della’s life was dropped, Holley hoped that she was doing well, both for her sake and Donald’s.  If anything big had happened, she was sure that Della would at least inform Donald.

Holley laughed in response to the little poke from Della.  “I’m doing okay.  I guess, like Donald said, I do need to update my augment soon, but I basically do that sort of work so I can figure it out on my own,” she said.  “Other than that, honestly nothing new.  Uncle Finn is still working but I sense he’s going to retire soon.  Honestly, he would deserve it,” she continued.  “We should toast to your birthday before you leave,” Holley exclaimed, looping her arm with Della’s and then grabbing Donald with the tips of finger.  “A toast to both of you!”

Donald sighed and shifted a tad uncomfortably, “Maybe… Or you know maybe I could just not tell him and forever keep that part of my life quieter?” He mused. Realistically he knew Holley was right. Scrooge would find out, one way or another, but that didn’t mean Donald had to like that idea. “I’ll… cross that bridge when I get to it…”

The question about the digger drew out a ringing laugh from the coroner as he caught on to the joke, “It actually isn’t this time around, no. An actual machine that digs into asteroids, not asses.” He said, the touch of dirty talk drawing a grin out of him. 

Her hands reached up, fixing his hair, which he allowed with ease and even bowed his head to give her a better angle. “Sometimes, I’m convinced he’ll give me one. But then again, I survived you with all my pearly whites still in place so…?” He let the question hang there as he looked at her.

Holley nodded, knowing that it was a touchy subject for Donald.  He was right; he supposed he could just cross that bridge when he got there.  She couldn’t help but wonder how Scrooge would react; she hoped that he’d at least be supportive of Donald’s happiness.

Donald’s booming laugh made Holley scrunch up her nose and blush.  She had known him for so long that she expected his innuendos.  “Whatever.  You can’t fault me for thinking that.”

She gave Donald’s head a light pat once she was satisfied with the way his hair sat.  “I don’t give you any sweet talk, Donald Duncan.  I tell it to you straight,” she said, doing her best to sit up straight and sound serious.

“O-oh,” Holley frowned.  Donald was a wild card, she knew that, so she didn’t want to question this too much.  And regardless of what sort of relationship this man had with her best friend, Holley still do her best to help.  “Sounds like an interesting relationship you’ve got.”

As Buzz raised his hand up to her, she got a closer look.  “Do you mind if I…?” she asked, her own free hand hovering over it.  Her own augmentation was still malfunctioning so she didn’t want to accidentally cause damage to either of theirs.

Buzz decided that maybe he should keep his mouth shut and not insult Donald in front of Donald’s friend. Especially if that friend was going to be digging around in his cybernetic. “Oh, no problem,” he said, extending his arm to her. “It just freezes up sometimes, especially the fingers. The communicator’s only fudged up once or twice.”

Holley squinted into the man's cybernetic before her free hand reached out to retrieve her glasses that she left on the table.  Putting them on, she was able to get a clearer look at what may be the problem.  She also then picked up a screwdriver, not to tinker with anything, but to carefully manuever around some wiring.  "I think you need to oil up some of the connectors here," she said, the tip of the screwdriver pointing to certain points.  She continued to look, trying to spot what the issue may be with the communicator.  Those tend to be a little trickier for her.  "I think your spring clip is too loose," she added with a tiny frown.  "That may affect the way you receive communication, though.  Are you having issues with receiving or calling out?"

She managed to pick up all the spools, placing them neatly on the table, but the threads were a bit tangled.  Some of the threads knotted and twisted amongst each other and a few in her cybernetics.  “Oh, let me carefully untangle these so you can have them back,” she chuckled awkwardly as her free hand tugged gently at the threads.  It took some time and a bit of work but she managed to free the colorful threads from her arm and from each other.  “What are all the threads for?” she then asked politely as she began to spin them back onto their respectively spools.

“Delivery,” he mumbled hesitantly. “I make… them.” Aogaeru set the box on the table, careful not to disturb anything else she had been working on. He watched closely as she spun the thread and couldn’t help but admire her precision.

"Oh," she exclaimed, impressed that these delicate threads were made by this man.  It was one of those things that she never really thought about how they were made.  "There very beautiful," she complimented as she finished spinning one spool and handed it toward the man with a smile.

“I-I don’t know?  I hope not.  A-are you suggesting that I do?”

“Uncle Finn and I can’t really afford a personal vehicle so we both take public transportation.  It saves us a bit of money.”

Do you have a secret talent? If so, what is it?

“I can write in cursive, does that count?  I know not a lot of people use cursive anymore after third grade, but I sort of like it.”

What sort of technology do you think they used to build the new warp gate? It has to be more powerful than the inter-station gates between rings right?

“How do you all know these things?  Where are you getting such information?  Again, a lot of this is privileged information, but yes, it is at least much more powerful than the inter-station gates between rings.”

“N-no!  Why?”  She proceeds to just run away.
