re : tags of last post made me think, i'm writing smut scene for my next teddypine fic chapter and its like 60% hands in hair and head pets and palms cupping faces and necks to the point where i was is this too much but - really that's a love language all on its own for them like.

not the first one to point this out but it's present in so many of the more intimate scenes it's like an equivalent to kissing for them which fits them so well.hands as a core symbol of action and service and care and reaching out and doing harm. violent vulnerability etc. faces masks identity charm seeing/understanding each other but also fooling each other. sth about heads and a connection that really works on a spiritual level. hair hmm idk but it feels like an erotic thing tied to life energy and animalness too and softness/sensuality and poetry and grace and culture and also the passage of time.

so those gestures - it's religious it's comfort it's recognition it's nurturing care and tenderness it's stolen time it's dog motifs it's a tiny bit condescending it's somehow platonic and erotic at the same time. it's a sort of gesture that's way too intimate to do to a stranger yet it's not actually explicit or inappropriate it's almost innocent but it's NOT what a spy and an arms dealer should be doing to each other and in fact it's sometimes so intimate you want to look away it almost feels more obscene to look at than anything explicit.

it's very loaded too like what if my fingers went to your mouth or like... in what else sort of context could i be gripping yr hair. it's so sweet and cute. it's charity it's slightly infantilizing it's a bit weird. it's bewildering and tragic bc it's like look at me i can't believe you exist i want to get closer but i can't and this is all I have to look at you. i see you as my other self my mirror i see you as a person. i'm trying to talk sense into you i don't understand you at all i need more time to look into your eyes. i don't know how else to reach you. i see your gigantic attachment wounds and how im gonna use them against you. im holding the most important and vulnerable part of your body and i could definitely cause harm if i wanted to. im holding the most precious thing in the universe in my hands and im terrified.
