Have the courage to be exactly who you are without apology.
Iyanla Vanzant (via ahautemesslove)
It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.
Dale Carnegie (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
Something will grow from what you are going through. And it will be you.
Unknown (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
Everything that happens to you is a reflection of what you believe about yourself. We cannot outperform our level of self-esteem. We cannot draw to ourselves more than we think we are worth.
Iyanla Vanzant (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
Remind yourself that you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing.

Don’t mind anything anyone tells you about anyone else. Judge everyone and everything for yourself.
Henry James, The Portrait of a Lady (via wordsnquotes)
You’ll eventually come to understand that although the past is concrete, it’s effect is abstract. You, and only you can decide how it’ll affect you.

The world is so much bigger than your brain, stop living inside your head.

You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place. Like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you’ll never be this way ever again.

I’m at a point in my life where I don’t want any sense of negative energy around me. I’m not afraid to say no anymore because I have realized that I have outgrown certain people and things in my life. I am choosing to eliminate bad habits and people who just constantly bring me down. Let’s be real, nobody wants or needs that in their life. I’m not afraid to speak my mind and neither do I care about what other people will think anymore. I’m doing this for me and it’s about time I pull through with it instead of constantly making up excuses and giving some people one too many chances.
So if I seem more distant or apathetic, now you’ll know why and hope you understand that we were just not benefitting from one another anymore so why bother.
I think above all else. At the end of the day, the character of a person matters the most. The deeds they have done, the person that they are, how they treat others, how they treat themselves, their intentions, honesty, and the convictions that they stand by. Everything else like looks or success matter very little.”

Success comes in a lot of ways, but it doesn’t come with money and it doesn’t come with fame. It comes from having a meaning in your life, doing what you love and being passionate about what you do. That’s having a life of success. When you have the ability to do what you love, love what you do and have the ability to impact people. That’s having a life of success. That’s what having a life of meaning is.
