Maybe it's time to see you fade or shine like the brightest light in the milky way... Maybe it's time to see the truth that all of these dream keep leading me back to you.
Why is it that when you finally got the courage to let go, the universe will throw a punch at you and make you go back to where you were before? Maybe some would say that maybe we're meant to stay on that place, that maybe we were not supposed to leave in the first place. But why would we stay if there's no longer a reason for us to stay? Why would we stay if it's also the universe who gave us so many reasons to let go and leave?
And in the journey of moving forward, with every step that I took is also the bit of changes that I felt within me. Changes -- in my heart, the way I think and how it felt like I have already completely forgotten about how great it is to love and be happy, to feel giddy about the little things.. 'cause I used to be so hopeless romantic. But lately it felt like staring into the previous version of me -- the one who is long dead and gone. And it feels like she has completely turned her back to the old version of her and despise the idea of destiny and love.
I used to be a believer of destiny, a destined kind of love. The kind of love that no matter what happen, no matter how long your paths never crossed, the universe will always lead you to each other's arms -- whether it is for the next two, three, or even ten years again. But the changes happened and destiny became just such a fictional word to me, because who would want to wait for someone for years without any hope? Me. I used to be hopeful with the love that I never had until I stopped and accepted my fate.
But maybe the world has really a different plan, maybe these celestial bodies can really turn some impossibilities into possibilities. They kept on pulling me back to the very beginning of this story and they kept on revealing him to me.
Once again, fate made our paths crossed. It was just an ordinary day, although I should have seen the signs the moment I stepped out of our house and "Sila" was blasting through each and every houses that I passed by. Oddly enough, I didn't mind. But again, I should have listened to what the universe was telling me because the moment I sat down at my office desk, "Enchanted" started playing. It was loud enough for everyone in the office to hear it, but for me it was defeaning.
This was the very first page, not where the story line ends.
Again, I should've listened. Because I thought I have put an end to this enchanting story already but to my surprise, that same day, while I was hurriedly crossing the wide Sala of that old house, I heard someone calling me, and within that split second, I innocently turned my back and my gaze directly caught the brightness of the star that I have been distantly admiring for the past six years. Frozen and startled -- surprised and in awe. Maybe the universe was right, this is not where the story line is supposed to end yet.
And just like how it was before, everything is a blur. The conversations felt like a dream. And it was odd that my heart was at peace. It was odd that almost every thing that happened on that fateful day were all the first time that it happened.
How we were casually talking, without any hesitation. How we were casually exchanging looks. How his family was so warm and welcoming. How it was in the car ride home.
The playful conversation starts, counter all your quick remarks
Almost every thing was the first but how is it that it didn't feel strange?
It’s odd that I didn’t feel any pain. It’s odd to feel that my heart is actually at peace.. and overwhelmed. Odd that my heart was so calm.
Strange that it felt comfortable. It was uncanny that those moments never happened before but it felt familiar.
It’s like a meeting of two souls who have met before but just actually long gone forgotten what was it before.
I’m wonderstruck blushing all the way home.
