LEGENDS ONLY
this person has a patreon where people pay them to make fandom discourse. one of the patron rewards is literally that she will make a Twitter discourse thread on the topic of your choosing.
Oh thank fucking god it’s not real
You mean this is something you can get paid for and im out here going to school instead??
Oh god her brain is actually huge
Holy shit.
She just looked at the sustainable energy source that is the relentless batshit insanity of Discourse and said “is anybody gonna monetize this or”
And I mean, we all gotta eat, right?
This is not an ethical way to make your bread but I can’t say it’s not impressive and kind of hilarious
We are witnessing a microcosm of the ongoing commodification of everything through this example. Truly, we know that all things are being absorbed into the matrix of exchange when even bad discourse has its price. We laugh but to keep from weeping.
This still remains the single funniest post to ever grace my dash

Oh I'm about to blow this whole case wide open
Facts:
The COVID vaccine needs to be kept about 40 degrees colder than regular vaccines
Dippin Dots is the only company with a nationwide distribution system that operates at those temperatures, and as such, they are being consulted in how to distribute the vaccine and may wind up just doing it themselves
Extrapolations:
If Dippin Dots is the only company with a distribution system cold enough for the vaccine, that means other ice cream companies DON'T operate cold enough for the vaccine
From there, we can reasonably conclude that dippin dots need to be stored at colder temperatures than other ice creams
If normal ice cream needs to be stored at the temperature of your freezer, Dippin Dots would need to be stored at temperatures colder than your freezer
Therefore, most people would not be able to buy Dippin Dots in bulk, only in single servings to be eaten right then and there
Furthermore, retailers would have to have separate, more powerful and more costly freezers for Dippin Dots
Conclusion:
A higher operating cost for a product that people only buy in single servings to eat right then and there rather than in bulk isn't a worthwhile investment, unless your business model is already selling single servings to eat right then and there. This is why you only ever see them at the god damn zoo.

one time i pulled into Popeyes and when they asked for my order i completely forgot what I was going to get and just said “12 biscuits” which was slightly unnerving because my conscious mind was certainly not in control
i was actually given the chance for redemption when they told me they only had 8 biscuits and even then i fucking told them i’d wait for them to make more
